i think we know that our version of the clippers lineup is title-worthy, and we're tinkering to see if we can build some other configurations that are similar in impact. so far, no dice, but we've got AD and lebron at 5/4 in our back pocket to deploy at any time. think serge ibaka and nic batum want any of that?
If the Clips click, they will give us a very tough series, I think we are only favourites because we are champs. Otherwise it's 50/50. I like to see that Schroder and Harrell always give us the same numbers, more or less. We know what to expect and they deliver. Combined with AD/LeBron, it's really up to Wes, Caruso, Kieff, KCP and THT to defend like their lives depend on them. Gasol I'm still figuring him out, my vision is that he and AD combine very well towards the end of season. Don't think he will be consistent during playoffs and will depend of matchups. Kuz is our joker, but I honestly don't remember the last time he came off the bench and gave us +20pts
eh, last year at this time the clippers were certain to beat us in 3 games because we'd forfeit due to abject fear. more breathless talk 6 games into the season won't sway me. load manager has to make it far enough healthy enough for any of it to matter.
Was he? Because there’s only one ball and we have plenty of capable guys? There were multiple times where he attacked and the defense collapsed. Old Kuz would have put up a weak attempt, but he had plenty of nice kick outs where guys missed the shot. When sets break down on offense, he defers to the stars to reset and is letting the game come to him instead of jacking up shots. Also played nice positional defense and broke up what looked like an easy alley oop. If that’s a warm body, I’ll take it.
Low box score impact, but that’s the downside of making assumptions off of box scores. Doesn’t account for screens, boxouts, defensive effort, hockey assists, etc. Glad to hear he looked solid out there.
Yeah that was a good game for Kuz even thought the box score doesn't reflect it. He was the highest +/- on the team tonight at 21. I thought he was showing much better decission making and passing.
Sirron said it perfectly. AC plays exactly how Kuz played tonight and he is AC Fresh. But when Kuz does it, he's a bum. That's not fair. Kuzma is playing his a** off and contributing on a team that has 4 players on it that can score 18+ a night. There just isnt enough ball for everyone to score. Give the guy a break, he's playing well and improving in areas he was deficient in.
Based on last season, I expect Kuz to make a bone headed play when he takes the floor. But lately he's a guy you can plug from 2-4 and get effort on defense, and his decision making a far better this season. Also there's an off chance that he gets hot offensively. I really like what I've seen with him in the last few games.
OX is right about Kuzma being this year's AC He's figuring it out that he can be a valuable 3 and D player who play the 2 - 4 positions in this new NBA
More of what? Last night Kuz rebounded the ball, played solid D, moved the ball, had only one TO, and led the team in +/-. If the answer is scoring the ball, it is difficult to score much when you only take 5 shots. Maybe if the PG got him the ball instead of taking 15 shots. Kuz deserves criticism at times, but this game wasn't a strong reason to criticize him.
AC will also be paid come next year, we gonna roast him all the time then, too? guys play roles. i'm sorry kuz isn't the star people wanted.
you guys saying he gotten better but advance stats says hes virtually been the same negative player but worse so far this yr... https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/k/kuzmaky01.html
