To be fair, Siakam has been doing that to most NBA players this season.

    No one wanted Dwight either.
    Few wanted Boogie.
People love to call things once they become popular in the media narrative.
Until then, everyone follows the party line.
To get someone with impact you need to think outside the box.
If he continues this production and doesn't piss off the team... I'd consider IT
Obviously LBJ's green light being the most important factor.
I still remember when people thought Ennis or Nwaba was the answer.
At least there's some hope IT can be a poorman's LouWill for us.

I don’t mind IT at all, but when we’re asset depleted outside our stars, you hold onto whatever assets you have till a bigger play comes along. We would be selling way too low on Kuz for IT. I would only look at it differently if the Wiz were willing to give a weakly protected on unprotected pick along with IT for Kuz...and still I would be a little gun shy about pullin cause IT ain’t got a bill of health to really count on in the interim.

I agree it's a risky move that is extremely unlikely to happen... (I wanted us to sign DLo to go with LBJ and AD once the trade was completed)
But I felt we needed a shot creator and this has proven to be true.
I also think Kuzma can find his form... but I also don't think we need both KCP and Kuzma... they are both kind of redundant as streaky scorers who can pay off on occasion.
I wonder even if we can sign JLin from China?
Again just thinking outside the box because we need a creator.

It’s not working in GS right now, but I applaud Myers for that DLo trade, cause even tho their Net loss was 2 1st round picks and Iggy, they gained an asset in DLo that could potentially recoup those losses and then some. But more importantly, they didn’t lose KD for nothing.

DLo was low on my list this summer, but if we struck out on Kawhi, Ky and Butler, I wouldn’t mind if we went at DLo with 20m+. But he got that max, so go get that bag young’n.

We would be a whole lot better sitting on DLo + Kuz as our assets to go grab an already established star if that possibility were to ever come up. In the meantime, DLo provides Bron that Ky/Wade perimeter player role that allows him to rest offball and/or be a triple threat option and load up more towards effort on defense.

I would go for any experienced PG right now and encourage them to do jersey give aways...that way, we don’t miss any potential contributions Dudz would have given us once we cut him.

They'd have to include this year's first with IT for me not to laugh them off the phone.

Why trade for IT when we can sign instant offense off the bench without giving up our 3rd best asset? I'd rather take Crawford for scoring or Devin Harris for facilitating, both who are sitting on the couch.

I'd take a look at Crawford, Harris, Wade... but I think they've finally hit their expiration date.
It's early to say if IT is back as well.
The problem is if he sustains or improves his numbers we can no longer afford him again.
Again, none of these are optimal solutions, but we need some creators.

    IT?

Just recalling IT's defense gives me PTSD.

thanks. hard pass on IT. he was really bad here, and i just don't think he's got it. people are going nuts about 10-game stat lines right now, imo.

I don't mind the IT suggestion, but I'm not a fan of him or his fit here...

i like IT the person. seems like a good dude who works hard. his game just didn't survive the injury.

i think people have sold short the defensive identity this team has established. you can only play so many sieves and maintain that. ask the clips, who were supposed to be worldbeaters on that end, but are married to lou, for better or worse. and lou is like 30X the offensive player that IT is at this point.

IT is a Dwight like risk and unlike the Dwight signing, it would be super risky to trade anyone even Kuzma or KCP as opposed to giving a non guaranteed contract. It also will never happen because management won't want to lose face after being so supportive of Kuzma and because LBJ didn't get along with IT.
I'm merely pointing out that it might help our creator problem instead of praying for some random player to pull a Boucher that lasts all season long.
Hopefully Rondo will help... hopefully Caruso will relax and continue to improve... hopefully Boogie will be able to contribute at the end of the playoffs
But we have some huge holes and it would be nice if we could identify someone who could provide that offense.

I’d take Melo all day and twice on Sunday before I want IT back.

I do agree with Sentient Meat that we may have to think outside the box for point guards but am not willing to sacrifice Kuz for IT. Even if a pick was thrown in. I was ok with Dwight because he still had game. Only his attitude was a concern. I still have nightmares about IT and the turnstile defense. I don’t keep up with the G league or overseas but maybe there’s someone over there who can help. I do think we need to see Rondo in action for a few weeks and give our team more time together before we make rash decision. Unless it’s trading KCP. Then do it quickly before the other GM wakes up.

Wow peeps not giving what Mr. Rambis said any consideration as to why Kuz’s name is being floated around in possible trade proposals. The FO knows he’s on a rookie deal with 2 years left and are still floating his name in trade talks to gain a sense of his value. How impatient our FO must be. Just wow, smh

Are some of you really suggesting Kuz for IT? Did you guys eat the same stuff Dion Waiters was eating on that plane? You guys can't be serious.
