Its frustrating, but the Rockets will never win anything. I have faith that in the end, when one team is flopping around and the other is trying to play basketball, there are enough refs with enough integrity not to let them actually win a championship.

Hey Kuz, here's something you can tweet back @ em...

"Well, what had happened was...the defender's man-bun made illegal contact with the offensive player's 1st step back, causing him to fall into a 2nd step back"
    (Refs probably)

Could Kyle be a team carrier/#1 option on his own? I've been so impressed with his play and development he's really becoming a star.

Another effing moron staring right at the play and ignoring what happened, like Lonzo getting knocked out of the air Sunday, to make the wrong call or no call. (Harden's 4 steps step back). Should be fired for blatant and inexcusable s*** calls like these.

This is exactly what I was talking about during the Rockets game in game time chat. You literally aren’t allowed to play defense on Harden with how he’s officiated. If you get up on him with your arms out he’ll either do a swing through or fall down. If you get up on him with your arms up, he will do this garbage where he takes 4 friggin steps back and get away with it. If you give him space he will gather steam and go by you, or he will gather steam and go INTO you and get a foul. The NBA has created a monster, it’s not basketball, it’s nonsense.

So weird that the refs have come to his defense instead of punishing him for clowning them all the time--"we're not stooges! Those are the right calls!"

    Wow.

why would they punish him? Then they'd be admitting how wrong they've been all these yrs, keep calling them fouls for Harden and stay consistent so this way there's no questioning their stupidity lol

Mind blown. This is beyond pathetic on the NBA's part. How can this game get any better when zebras are IMMUNE to any kind of cricitizm?
They don't get fined, they can do whatever the f*** they want, players can't talk "bad" about them... they're god like figures. They got a free pass after that "Donaghy scandal", now they're running wild. Hire some unknown, wanna be basketball player with no hope at a pro career and tell him to knock one of them out.
If i wasn's such a die hard lakers fan, i would never watch NBA. Im afraid, they will lose me at some point anyways ...

Wow...I generally agree that criticizing the refs is an easy excuse for any losing team after literally every game.

With that said, I don't think the refs should be immune to criticism. In other sports (for example soccer) refs get criticized directly and heavily after games in the press conference by the coach and right on the pitch by interviewing GMs...

basically right after the game the GM would come to the pitch for an interview and would say something like "the refs decisions were absolutely ridiculous, even a blind mouse would have blown the whistle there. And the video assistant? Don't get me started on him...I assume he was asleep during the game"...

no fine whatsoever. And it has worked. It hasn't harmed the game at all. Therefore I don't understand why the NBA is obsessed with their referees even though they CAN CLEARLY see that they make head scratching mistakes.

cuban's been on the league about transparency and accountability for officials since he bought the mavs. his payment was the 2006 finals.

I do understand why the NBA is trying to protect the ref's reputation. Its just an easy excuse used by any fanbase for every loss pretty much. That doesn't make sense to me.

But accountability does. The refs sometimes "provoke" players, tell them something irritating and T the players up right after they repond. Thats abusing your power. And using the twitter account to justify a bogus call with slow motion video that clearly is NOT in favor of your tweet is an insult to my intelligence. That is bothering me.

It should be OK to admit mistakes, actually I think that would do wonders for their reputation. But dishing out fines whenever someone says one negative word about the officiating is utterly ridiculous and unacceptable.

Its a democracy, I have my freedom of speech and I can judge the calls how I SEE IT. I don't have to get personal with the refs but I can judge the officiating. I don't see the problem here.

If I was a player, the league office would have one helluva xmas party from my fines alone.
