Well guess what... Kawhi Leonard is already great. I would absolutely hate losing Kuzma but for Kawhi Leonard? In a heartbeat... In a NY second. The Lakers would immediately become the joke of the NBA if we lose Kawhi Leonard because of Kyle Kuzma. As much as I love Kuzmania, Leonard is a top 5 NBA player at least and he is 26...he is already a champion and finals mvp. Leonard is beyond hard work and desire. You only become as good as him if God has given you some special genes and talents. And nothing is more satisfying than putting the nail in the Spurs coffin and basically making sure they become irrelevant again for good. It's been due for a long time.
Will he ever be that guy again physically is the 22M trade and loss of future stars question, whether they're "super" "MVP' quality stars or not? Maybe now their ceilings become greater if he's been compromised physically? Would sure want to see Kawhi and them play one more season or at least to the trade deadline if we have to do it in a trade without him walking to us in 2019.
Wait for Kawhi, see how he looks out there. His career stats are not that impressive... although his impact on the game sure is. Kuz and Ingram are on a path to be great. Patience...
They seem to be way too chummy with Kuzma right now to where I don't think they are thinking about letting him go.
I think he may be their untouchable. He wants greatness and he's been working on it constantly. He's a good person, a thoughtful young man, and a winner. I think he's their guy.
That was hilarious when Magic was telling Kuz to quiet down over there "I just got done talking about you" and then smiles.
Of course, I wouldn't mind losing Kuzma for Leonard IF the latter was of sound mind and body. What makes you think I or anyone wouldn't? As of now, that situation with him and the Spurs is yet to be resolved.
