Yeah I remember him falling apart because I rode his wave in my fantasy league. He had a long stretch of double-doubles and then just completely fell out of the rotation. At best I think he's equal to Mozgov in terms of effectiveness, but I still think Mozgov is a better player when he's healthy. Pachulia is a great goon and a guy I would love as a backup C, but he's not a skilled player. Mozgov at least has some skills in pick and roll and a little touch around the rim.
What would you rather have? Mozgov at 16 mio. or Zaza at 2 million? Even if you consider Mozgov marginally better, its a moot point. I defended the Mozgov signing and it is what it is...but its not good.
Obviously Pachulia, but who would you rather have GS's roster or LA's? Pachulia was never available to us for that price. It's an apples to oranges comparison.
yeah, pachulia probably would have required 10-ish on the open market. if mozgov's knee is really "perfect" as he says, you take mozgov at 16 over pachulia at 10.
Reggie Miller should come out of retirement as the Splash Father to the Splash Brothers and I guess Durant is the Splash Cousin?
What a GS roster might look like next season. http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/new...gency-golden-state/1pjr53ldjp74d1lj455zv9tn8o
It's definitely a chump move. I thought he was cut from a different cloth. The league won't be much fun for the next 5 years. The only good part of this is it stops Bron from adding any more jewelery. This changes how teams are going to be constructed for awhile and for the worse. Call me old school, but I don't like the super team notion. Quitting on your team and jumping ship to join a Justice League and have an easy path to the 'ship...I can't respect that move or you as a man any longer. The biggest difference from this and Bron was the spectacle Bron made of it and Bron was/is a hated individual. Everyone loves KD, so he won't get the backlash Bron got.
yeah, i couldn't figure out why i was more annoyed with lebron, but i think it was because he's just dislikeable in general. they're equally weak moves. i know everyone would prefer to play with better teammates, but i think you also have to have some interest in coming out on top against serious competition. as i've said about lebron, i just didn't think it was sporting to join up with two other franchise-level players. i could have forgiven one, no problem.
I doubt they're done signing guys either. There's about a dozen guys who are on hold, asking if there's room for them.
