I'm hoping we package both in a trade later this season. Once Schroder is back we have a real redundancy in the PG department. We don't need 4. I guess Nunn and Beverly are technically considered combo guards but they are the same size as the Russ and Dennis. We have other players to play the 2 like Reaves and Walker both of whom are playing better than Nunn and Bev.
With Nunn, It depends on how he plays though. If he reverts to his MO of averaging 15 pts a game, why should we trade him?
I remain optimistic as always Jones! We have to give these guys some time to gell. It's a lot going on, new staff, new players, and the top 3 players still haven't played 20 straight games together yet. I don't think we've been overmatched in any game yet, we haven't shot well though.
Getting Troy Brown back was important (really is the Ariza from last season), you can slide Reaves and Lonnie back to the 2 and not have to play our shorter guards there as often. Definitely open to the idea of packaging Nunn and Bev together once Schroder is back. Thats $18mil right there, can theortically net you a productive player.
With a bone bruise. The worst in sports history. What's concerning was he missed last season, looked like our 3rd best player in pre-season and went from that to not looking like a G-League level talent as soon as the games started to matter. So what happened? Injured again? Honestly it's more concerning that he went from out to good to awful.
The season jmmm He doesn't look hurt, he's just missing shots . He started out pretty decent against Golden State 13pts 3-6 from 3, but his shot went left for the next 3 games. I'd rather see him try to get going in the midrange first, before launching a bunch of threes. He's coming up front of the rim short on a lot of his misses . I think he'll be fine once he gets a rhythm going. Ham said that he was knocking em down in camp, Darvin has been pretty accurate with his player assessments. I think the whole team is going to shoot better as we go along.
I think because a lot of his misses are front rim short he just hasn't gotten his game legs under him yet. He was out along time. We should see his productivity and minutes starting to move the right direction in the next few games. I also agree the team shooting as a whole will be better.
I feel the same in Jamal Murray game too, missing lay ups and mid range shots he usually makes. Klay went through the same thing. They just been out too much time which makes it harder when they comeback to make those shots consistently I would continue to give him minutes but if he's not playing, like yesterday, while Dennis is still out, it doesn't look good
It’s nothing personal and I certainly think he can turn things around. Just maybe not here. he plays a position we’re stacked in. Someone was going to be the odd man out.
yeah, injuries may crop up and give him another chance, but he did nothing to justify playing him instead of say, reaves/walker/brown for any minutes at all. best to just sit him until we need to use him and can give him real run (15-20mpg).
What a waste of a roster spot. If i didn't know, i wouldn't say that this dude played any ball in his life. He looks like a random person, thrown on to the court. YUCK
What a f***ing waste: losing Caruso and then wasting money on Nunn is such a kick in the nuts. Cavs targeted him so badly in the 3rd that it forced Ham to take a TO.
Whatever trade we make this year, include this waste of money. DS can't get back soon enough. There's better players in FA at the point than Nunn right now: DJ Augustin, Eric Bledsoe, Kris Dunn, Elfrid Payton, Rajon Rondo, and Kemba Walker. Give me any of them today over Nunn.
Yeah. I got nothing as far as reasons for his poor play. He looks terrible out there and just hasn’t earned minutes.
