Some teams that have been playing hard and are likeable tend to get the benefit of the doubt from their fans. This team? No. They deserve all the negativity they get until they turn it around IMHO. I honestly won't be tuning in unless they can string together some good play. Basketball is entertainment for me, and they aren't very entertaining since leBron got here. I hate his ballhog style of play. It's unwatchable basketball during the regular season. In the playoffs he seems to share the rock more, but otherwise, I just despise watching this crap brand of basketball. Wake me up when it's over or they actually are watchable. For now, 10 minute highlight clips and armchair coaching is for me. #suckitleBronze
So far I've seen no evidence that we're anything other than terrible. We have 2 guards that are no longer NBA level players (Westbrook, Beverly). They're awful. I may have jumped the gun on Nunn but there's an alarming lack of skill among our numerous guards. We have no reliable wings. So far our centers aren't impressing me either, and our superstars are injury prone. LeBron at 38 won't be able to carry this team. Oh and the shooting, terrible. Darvin Ham will have his hands full. The only this team has is if LeBron and Ludabrow stay healthy all year and I think that's unlikely based on the last two seasons.
let's hope ham moves nunn and reaves into the starting lineup with AD, lebron, and a center. it's too bad we didn't really see that group play together in the preseason, but russ's injury opens the door for our most sensible starting 5.
Thought was Nunn was terrible till the 4th and then you could see the speed and passing making a difference. Think he'll come around and waiting for the Reaves Nunn backcourt
nunn at least knows how to find his spots in the offense, imo. he got missed for a couple good looks from three (reaves immediately acknowledged one of them) early in the game. i'd advocate for starting reaves over bevs and leaving nunn as the bench scorer. but i agree that the best idea in theory is to start reaves and nunn with a center and have russ come off the bench. but that s*** ain't happenin'.
A step in the wrong direction from pre-season. Hopefully it had to do with the competition and we'll see a better outing against Jackson and Wall. Offensively, he's our third best player and he has to play up to that more nights than not.
The Bazemore of this season. Played good in preseason and then disappeared when the games start to matter
lol, said same in game thread. bazemore looked great in the preseason last year and then it was like he aged 10 years in the 3 day break. nunn looks the same. looked sluggish.
Not only is he looking slower and can't hit anything, he's getting worked on D. He CANNOT guard up, at all. Bigger guards on both GS and LAC abused him.
Despite my criticism and jokes, I tend to think is true. I do expect him and Bev to start hitting shots.
I think he will improve as the season goes on and gets his legs under him. I would have a gradual increase in his minutes after not playing for a year and not being able to ramp up.
Ham needs to play him more with Lebron and Davis. He'll get better looks and the offense will have spacing. I don't know why he won't stagger Russ and Lebron more. Zubac was just doubling Lebron and leaving Westbrook wide open down the stretch.
Can someone grab him and shake the F out of him? Looked great in the pre-season. Since the games started to matter, he's bordering on unplayable. I don't get it.
