Wow Zion recovered from a broken foot and being 60lbs overweight quicker than Kendrick Nunn recovered from his bone bruise. It's a good thing Nunn picked up his player option to have some financial security after suffering such a career ending injury.

Zion stating he can’t wait to sign his Supermax extension for like 180 million is amazing.

    “can’t sign fast enough”

yes, but does NO want to risk ruining their franchise for 5 years for a talented but fat and part time player? Is he worth the risk?

i’m having a hard time seeing that pencil out right now especially when they have a good squad without him there.

He's a legit 7 footer. Zion is dynamic and crowd pleaser, but can he be on that level? Not so sure.

well folks were laughing at phi extending embiid after waiting 3yrs, i wouldn't blame nop for extending Zion max even if he doesnt live up to the hype, his potential is that good

i'm not so sure embiid's injury problems are in his rearview. i mean, ol' mr glass kept getting hurt in the playoffs this year.

but in truth, neither team really has great choices. if i could trade zion for something of value right now, i'd do it, though. but i don't think you can. and i don't think he signs for less than max. dallas was in the same position when they traded for porzingis, too. you just can't afford to have had a top talent and let them walk.

The thing about Zion is that IF he gets in shape, and IF he stays healthy, and IF he is motivated he can be a top ten player in the league as soon as next year. Three big IFs, but the talent level remains sooo enticing.

right. if he wants to stay, you just have to ride it out and hope for the best. honestly, he'd have made it easier on them if he asked out.

and yes, when he's healthy, he's a really unique talent for which there aren't a ton of answers. same as embiid.

Has anybody heard squat from Nunn this off season. Is he dead, has he grafted new bone on his knee due to a catastrophic bone bruise? What the hell is up with this guy?

LOL didn’t know an elite conditioning coach could cure whatever the eff was going on with the severe bone bruise. Assume you’re going for the humor. Which is fine. Need all we can get after the season we just had.

He is not going to be ready for the training camp, but will be available when the season starts.

    Nah, just kidding.

He's not going to be available when the season starts either.

I'm convinced it is (was) a circulation problem. A bone bruise will never heal until you get the swelling out and a good blood flow to the injured area. You also have to have the right nutrition so your body can repair itself. He may have been trying to "ramp it up" too often or not staying off of it long enough. Being young and impatient go hand in hand. Doesn't even have to be playing ball. Walking on it can cause it to swell and stop the healing process. The perplexing thing to me is surely he is working with professionals that know all these fundamentals of healing. A healthy Nunn takes a lot of the pressure off needing to make a Westbrook trade. Reaves and Nunn would be a huge upgrade over guards from last season. Both are better than Russ at this stage of his career and I don't think it is even close. Nunn, Reaves, Lebron and AD with either Wenyen/Stan or some unforeseen pick up is pretty solid.
