Who knows, he might even want to be traded at some point in the season for more PT. Of all our signings he's the one most likely to be like that IMO.

I can't stand KCP. Was utter garbage the majority of the season and then started playing amazing when we were out of the playoff race and the stakes were lowest.

I feel the same way too. This may apply more to KCP than the others, but we'll see what this coaching staff is made of. I think that you can't discount the coaching component during the last couple of years. Nearly everyone was a disappointment (aside from perhaps McGee and Caruso) last season.

He has the tools to be a solid contributor for us and it'll be interesting to see how this team develops overall. I hope that we are able to find a system that can optimize the talent at our disposal. It would be nice to hear of a Lakers system in the future.

Yeah.. I wasn't too down on KCP at first, but seeing him buried behind Green & Bradley while battling for minutes vs Daniels is a head scratcher...
& with a no trade clause to boot.. Must be some truth to the Klutch Tax.

KCP signing is without a doubt a Klutch AD tax. They way I look at it, anything that helps to retain AD after this season is fine by me. Cost of doing business. Don't sweat over it.

It's not like KCP = Melo.

If LeBron is moved to the point guard position, Frank Vogel is considering placing KCP in the starting lineup to complement Danny Green to form a perimeter defensive duo. Other contenders to start alongside Green include newly signed guard Avery Bradley and returning veteran Rajon Rondo. No decisions will be finalized until training camp, however.

Noooo to KCP in the starting lineup. I was mocking people this morning who were saying that might happen.

ab in the starting lineup will be great. I think he is a better defender than kcp at the point guard position

If no Kuz, could see KCP starting for the wing presence as well though pulling for Kuz to be the starter.

    Vs #Slippers
    Green on Kawhi
    LeBron on PG
    Kuz on Beverley?
    AD on Harrell
    Cousins/McGee on Zubac?

I think Kuz can handle guarding Beverley right? If not you can slide Green on Beverley and put Kuz on 1 of Kawhi/PG.
Don't think you're forced to play KCP/Bradley in the starting line up.

Vs GSW I definitely put Green on Curry.

KCP is not starting unless someone is injured. They didn't just pay 15 mil per to Green to have him come off the bench.

Believe he's suggesting kcp instead of kuz at the 3.

He can be adequate in spots; the problem is (with the roster) is he's too short to guard the bigger wings; we're going to get killed there...

Green and lebron should have that job. Iggy would help a lot, of course.

And outside the clippers, there aren't a ton of high scoring, bruising perimeter players.

    james
    bradley
    green
    ad
    mcgee

would be solid starting group, 2 solid 3/d guards along with ad spacing should make it a balanced team followed by subs of rondo, boogie, kcp, kuz....daniels, cook can fight over backup sg/sf mins
