I was listening to Lakers Film Room, and he said what the Lakers could do is offer a 1 year deal, then another 1 year deal, etc. He said it's the kind of deal that allowed Cleveland to sign LLLLLabron even though they didn't have the cap space for multiple years. The big difference is that if we did that, we wouldn't get KCP's bird rights. So there's a possibility we made a multi year commitment to him, but have to structure it weird.
And BTW, this is a huge win for us. KCP checks off a lot of boxes for what we needed in a starting SG, and if he is going to be with us for years, he's one hell of a bench player once PG signs.
Oh well, just like hill did with utah...but hey from det to la n get 18mill, things could be worse, you could be sac
Nice! We were the last ones with cap left, nice to see we got something good for the wait! I'm not sure why people are saying he turned down 80m to be a Laker. He turned down an 80m extension during the season in the hopes of signing for the max. No one offered it to him and Klutch made an error of judgement on his behalf. This season he will try to ball out to secure the max (or close to it) next season for the next 3-4 years.
If Magic could package Deng and Clarkson, they would have had the best off season for any team in my opinion.
Can somebody thats black tweet Magic the Denzel from Training Day meme please? ...please no ...ahahaha :Headbang:
Dude id throw in throw in Nwaba, a 2nd and probably Zu if i had to. Then wed be done with that ish... Depending on what comes back wed be set. Wade trade would be funny AF if it popped off. Or depending on what comes back we can turn some other stones possibly.
