right. seems like there's a few examples recently of guys who turned down solid but sub-max offers and got burned (kcp and nerlens noel are notable examples). it actually looks like those teams dodged bullets (do kcp or noel look like 15-17 per players on multi-year deals?). the message to players is "take the money" (good job, kelly olynyk) and to teams is "offer even lower" (in retrospect, lakers should have offered clarkson less and risked him walking).

Preseason does mean nothing. Hopefully we see all of our players in their full glory to make the best possible decisions.

Wonder from whom he caught the elbow? Julius would be my vote for the Lakers player with the most .... ummm..... unsupervised elbows :giggle: , but not saying I suspect him. Am sure it was random.

Speaking of which .... Julius and his no conscience elbows, and his personality on the floor when his manhood is challenged (such as with Cousins last year when they were talking s*** nose to nose) .... for everyone wanting him gone ...... who are our enforcers following that?

You know .... stupid f****** NBA at that point in time .... gave Kobe s*** and shut him down from wearing the seriously awesome looking "black" face mask when CP3 broke his nose (duh .... Black Mamba.... it was really perfect) and the leggings under his shorts. Now, oh hey no sweat, wear what you want in that regard to the leggings. Who knows? For whatever reasons Kobe wanted to wear them and players now are allowed to do ..... keeping upper and lower leg muscles warm and supported a bit ..... maybe Kobe's achilles might have been affected enough in a positive way to not pop. No, I'm not really going there, but yeah stupid NBA probably because it was not their darling LBJ, made a bad decision at that point in time. Adversely affecting the Lakers and Kobe who was wanting to do both things.

Great debut. Our guys just needs more time with one another. Tremendous clutch block which amounted to nothing.

He had a pull-up three in transition that gave me chills. That kind of shot honestly opens him up to a massive payday next summer.

That was a really nice game for Pope. That's what most of us expected to see from him; the question is - can he do it consistently?

Now that the season is here and the meaningless pre-season is over .... and since that was an auspicious and very nice first game for KCP as a Laker ..... I seriously recommend the title of his thread be changed back to normal and stop mocking him.

That corner three was huge though he had too much time on one which he missed. Reason why Wall was invisible in the fourth after a scorching third. Pope also kept the rookies' heads in the game by talking and making sure they are in the right places. Made an effort to prop up Randle at the end of regulation for his play.

Well he was the oldest guy out there one the lineup that won us the game (at 24!).

Dude came as advertised. We need him to be consistent offensively with his defense that I think has became a little infectious.

Hate to have him brought up in every thread but games like this make me miss DAR less and less.
