    This. Already Kawhi's camp has been more adamant about LA than PG ever was. If something changes with Kawhi, there's still a lot of guys to choose from in free agency next year. I don't want to give up future all-stars for a guy we have a good chance of signing outright next year.

    I don't believe the trade is happening. Too many details released to the public is usually not a good sign.

    to sign with the Lakers? or go to the Lakers?

    The question is when do the Spurs hit the wall and have to take the deal LA wants to get them? Because no team seems to want to chance losing him in a one year rental.

    We have all the leverage right now. San Antonio can suck it if they think that we're going to get bent over in this deal.

    If I'm the Lakers...my final offer is Ingram, Deng and 1 pick for Kawhi. Take it or leave it.

    Sign him next summer though?

    I could still see the Lakers doing a deal around Ingram. Kawhi is still 27 years old so it's not like we're moving a young potential star for an old star. I think there's a very solid shot Kawhi puts on a Laker uniform, I just don't know when.

    with the 1yr signing, you have to think Rob/Magic have a limit on what they'll offer for Leonard and they know that limit isn't going to get the deal done....i'm ok with that, SAS will not and should not deal with us, its a bad look for their mgmt who has respect around the league.

    No. It's a bad look if they get NOTHING for Kawhi and the offers will only get worse the longer they wait....they have to deal him to us and they know it...they gotta decide if they're cool with Kuzma & Hart and picks or if they will take Ingram & Deng and picks. I think if i'm them, I extract Ingram from us...he's the closet to Kawhi Leonard clone for them....and he fits their culture really well (very quiet silent a***asin)
