not gonna lie, the clippers still worry me a little bit

wouldn't they have started making moves if they knew they were out of the kawhi sweepstakes? west has been far too quiet for my liking and we all know what he's capable of

Honestly..if I was considering the Lakers...as a Laker fan. I would have taken them off my list after Magic retired and called Rob a backstabber and Linda became the next best executive...lol

@lavar-is-trash It's tough as a reporter to have to consistently provide "juicer" updates as time moves on. As someone with minor connections, I can say sometimes you just don't know anything, or the latest update you get is the same news as it was a few days ago. I have been sharing what I've heard, and nothing more, and unfortunately as pressure has mounted that has upset people. At this point, the only news many want to hear is whether or not the deal is done, which nobody other than Kawhi and his inner circle can confirm.

Same applies to the Lakers or Raptors...which shows nobody has an idea whats going on.

Well @KB24, from what I understand that was Kawhi's biggest concern before he met with the Lakers!

    Kawhi killing this board :giggle:
If he signs with Raps, we miss out on what's left in the FA market, someone gets an injury, another s***ty season, AD bolts -> back to the stone age.
    Can't wait

I would agree, I’m not counting out any of the 3 teams until this is over simply because Kawhi is impossible to read. I think as far as the Clippers go though, they’re in the same boat as us, not giving up until it’s said and done, all in on Kawhi to this point, so no reason to waste any of the cap space saved for him. If they land him they can make the playoffs, if they don’t they’re likely out, so they’ve gotta be even more all in than us because their moves if they don’t land him won’t really change that. Like if they move to sign Green, Cousins, Cook, or Morris, that’s not going to move them into the playoff picture, where if we don’t sign him we still have LeBron & AD. Anyway, here’s some thoughtful/funny tweets about Kawhi to close the day.

This is indeed huge, this decision can change the whole league, possibly start the next dynasty for the foreseeable future, or just mean more parity in the league than there has been in 5 years with all the star free agents of the offseason spreading out to various teams like they did. Every FO exec in the league not on the Raptors, Clippers, or Lakers have to be shaking in their boots praying like hell it isn’t the Lakers in the end. Hopefully Kawhi sees that potential and chooses us.

I believe you are correct. I don’t think anyone knows where he is right now. I would think if he’d actually flown home the media would have known though, all of Canada seemed to know when he went there 2 days ago.

    @LTLakerFan

Yes AD and Boogie played well together in New Orleans. I think he will come here because it's his best chance to make the playoffs.

The last team I'm worried about, are the Clippers.

I don't care that Jerry West is there. I do know Ballmer tried to buy Kawhi's trademark. I know he's got that lame excuse, of he was doing it for Kawhi (no he wasn't).

The Clippers have ZERO to offer.

And as a lifelong fan, I wouldn't care that Magic quit, because here I am, and I'm glad he's gone. Loved the basketball player, can't stand the "executive."

    Mr.Rambis,

This news will probably be confirmed over the coming hours but wondering if you are aware if Kawhi spent the 4th in Toronto? I have read mixed reports saying he did & saying he didn’t. Staying in Toronto would give me pause for concern if I was the Lakers brass.

    Regards,

    BJ
