    That’s why Haynes thinks he’s staying in Toronto, not Clippers... again just based on his talk with Uncle Dennis.

    No leaks apparently is very important to Uncle Dennis.

    if he doesn't want the spotlight i don't get why he didn't sign with memphis or phoenix

    This to me was the weirdest thing Haynes said.

    Kawhi doesn't care about winning?? I thought that was all he f***ing cared about? :D If he doesn't care about winning, then the Clippers have a better shot than any of us thought. It is also counter to everything Kawhi has ever said. Weird quote from Haynes for sure and makes me question just about everything else he said.

    Even if we don't get Kawhi, I am still happy we went all in to get him. At the end of the day we still have AD and Lebron.

    If he doesn’t care about championships and just wants to be somewhere low key he should have gone to like Minny, NO, Memphis, or Charlotte, I often forget a couple of those teams exist.

    Honestly, I’m over this waiting game already. I appreciate that he gave the Lakers consideration, but I accept whatever he chooses to do with no hard feelings.

    I will always say, the Lakers are above any individual player. He either joins the tradition of greatness this franchise represents, or doesn’t.

    Kinda sucks if we’re supposed to be keeping quiet that we know all that went on between Magic and uncle Dennis and we know LeBron’s entire pitch to Kawhi.

    To be fair, literally nothing has come officially from the Lakers. The closest we have to actual reports are from random internet "insiders" who may or may not be accurate. Thus far, the closest thing we have to a confirmation is from a reddit user who may or may not be a relative of Jeanie Buss, but that can't be corroborated.

    The most details we got from LeBron's pitch came from Sam Amick I believe who put out LeBron's pitch before the meetings took place.

    If Kawhi doesn't want to come play with AD and Lebron..... What else can you do? At least we tried. At the very least, this "distraction" of pursuing him saved us from overpaying for other FA's. Still can't believe what FA's are pulling in this year. Crazy.

    Here's what I wrote to my beleaguered Lakers chain just now:

    I don’t want to dwell on this too much since it’s all speculation, but you notice the info seems to come in two forms: 1) he’s coming to the Lakers, just a matter of when it’s announced; and 2) nobody knows, all three teams in play, Lakers are not in the lead.

    You’ll notice we never hear that the Clippers or the Raptors are the top choice, or that he’s signing with one of those teams and it’s imminent

    So, if I have to guess, I think the likeliest scenario is that certain plugged-in people are being told (or are themselves aware) that he’s in all likelihood going to the Lakers. And the people who are not in the know, and not getting any direct or relevant info, are left with the impressions that it’s anyone’s guess and all three teams are in play

    It would would be different if some “sauces” were saying Lakers while others were adamant that it’s the Clippers or the Raptors. But it’s not. It’s exclusively Lakers or “could be anyone.”
