    Those guys will be eaten up soon... I hate this BS waiting kawhi. We did this in the past and lost out on some good players... we ended up signing deng and moz if I remember correctly

    Given how long the Lakers were on the phone with Danny (one of the longer calls with a team according to his agent) I have to believe there is an understanding that we would offer him the full room exception if Kawhi joins us. That is just my hunch.

    we knew the big FA's weren't interested, so we went after obtainable mid tier guys we could overpay as mentors. But they were fat and worthless and their verticality was horizontal.

    This is not even remotely the same situation. We were waiting on Melo and Aldridge back then. Kawhi is the best player in the NBA with Durant sidelined. We traded our entire roster to be able to sign Kawhi, this isn’t BS waiting, this was plan A since probably last summer. It has literally been 7 hours since free agency started, there’s waiting, and there’s impatience.
