Ramona on 710 finally admitting the Kawhi, LeBron, and Davis combination would be unstoppable.

You'd have to be half dead to not admit that.

Kawhi LeBron AD would be one of the greatest defensive frontcourts ever, if not the greatest.

Of course but she also about an hour ago spent a segment absolutely gushing about the Clippers pitch for Kawhi.

And immediately Jorge Sedano comes on 710 and has a bone to pick with Jeanie saying "we dont need outside media to validate us". He took offense. I do not like Sedano.

I will say that Ramona went to bat for Jeanie when Sedano showed up and started crapping on her. Ramona actually admitted that the Lakers have been taking huge lumps in the media so Jeanie is justified to defend herself and her franchise. Ramona also stuck up for Linda. :D Ramona is trying to gain some points back.

Don’t understand why Ramona has turned on us lately, I can only guess she had her access to Jeanie cut off. Also, I don’t really like Sedano either (he’s a former Miami guy, ugh), but I’m with him here, that was a dumb thing for her to say. Can’t live in your little Lakers bubble and tune out all criticism as fake news. When the Lakers were getting killed in the media for not going after a top guy for a new PBO and for having Kurt back in the FO, botching the Lue negotiations, they deserved it. Having a great PBO/GM matters, Woj just said on SC that the Raptors have a real shot at keeping Kawhi because Masai Ujiri and that org have handled everything with him so well. But here we sit with Kurt and Rob running the whole show because they’re old friends. Again, thrilled we got AD, but reading we’re going to sign JR Smith, Melo, and probably retain guys like Rondo gives my fear about this FO having no clue how to build a good team outside of the stars a lot of validation.

I disagree. Jury is out on those two in these roles and thus far they're passing the test. Masai wasnt Masai the first time he was put in a position of power and for Griffin to be universally praised, people seem to forget he left Cleveland with a number of awful contracts. That being said, I wanted him here.

But still, the criticism has been wildly inappropriate and based fully on conjecture. The media has made wild accusations, assumptions, and outright accused Pelinka of incompetence. Just because we dont know what's happening, we can't assume it's all negative. We should reserve judgement for when we get actual facts which is the opposite of what Woj, Ramona, and people like Sedano have done.

If we fail to build a competitive roster, I'm all for getting back into Jeanie and calling for Rob to go, but otherwise this criticism has been way too much.

To be clear most of my criticism is not aimed at Jeanie, or Rob really. Most of it is aimed at Kurt, he should not be employed by an NBA franchise unless it’s at the end of the bench as token assistant coach, or like janitorial staff or something. Jeanie only gets criticism because she put Kurt in place instead of someone competent. Rob, the jury is still out on, if he build a roster the opposite of what he and Magic built last season he’ll have earned my trust. If we sign Smith, Melo, Crawford, Rose, Rondo, etc, I’ll lose my mind.

its hilarious how many times he's left the lakers only to fail at whatever job he took before returning because this organization just can't quit him for some reason

and somehow now, he's more powerful than ever and calling all the shots. unreal

I have almost no opinion on Kurt to be honest. I've read what Mr Rambis has to say and I'm not entirely comfortable with him being in a true authority position, but my main point has always been if we can get this thing done, then anyone who is here has earned their place. We're almost there and I think they deserve some credit for getting us here. If they dont come through now and we give 20m to DeAndre Jordan or something, then I'll happily throw them under the buss with you.

I tried to not use this word to make my point. The word starts with W and ends with E. I used call girl to soften the blow.

    Media = Call girls.

They go where they get fed. Lakers aren't feeding anyone anything. GOOD. And all the media does is destroy them with no evidence or over blown BS.

Let the media yap while we clap at winning the title next year. And watch, they will be back sucking the teet again because the media are you know whats.....

I dont disagree. My confusion was that Ramona went from gushing about the Clippers to back on the Laker bandwagon like she'd never left. It was strange.

God bless Steiny-mo and his willingness to simply say "Who knows" when he doesn't have good intel. Take notes, Woj.

My goodness...how does Woj still have a job?

He has literally lied at every turn of this s***...

SLOWLY, but surely...the media pundits are starting to mention the Lakers in there with Clippers/Raptors for Kawhi.

None of this will matter if he decides to return...but I think it's anybody's game right now. I think we have a better shot than the Clippers but media won't say it until he's actually SIGNED with us.

To add to your point Real, if he wanted to be the face of a franchise why the hell would he leave TOR. He's already a god up there and TOR can give him the most money. Further proof the clippers reason for going there is non-existent.
