    My pessimistic side says this is true. But...the main contributors on that team are him, Lowry, Ibaka, and Gasol. Siakam is an up and comer and the only person on the roster other than Kawhi (of consequence) that's under 30 by the start of next season. After NEXT season, no one is on the roster. Does Kawhi trust that Toronto will be able to replace the aging Lowry and Gasol with player that can help him win a title? Ibaka has maybe half a contract left in him after this current one. If he comes to the Lakers after an AD trade, he can dominate now playing with AD, Lebron and Kuzma, and then contend for titles for years with AD, Kuzma and whoever we use Lebron's cap space on. Players will come to Los Angeles to play with AD and Kawhi. Is anyone going to Toronto to play with just him?

    Kawhi himself said he didn’t but a house. If you want to believe he lied fine but I tend to believe information that comes from the players themselves vs the media or social media.

    My hand is firmly at my side. I’m rooting for the Warriors to not get a 3 peat, keeps them down a notch in the history books, fairly or not. I’m also not rooting for them to be rewarded for what they did to Durant. Lastly, way to jinx the AD deal, when it falls apart I know who to blame now.

    I don’t think Kawhi winning a title for Toronto means he stays at all. It doesn’t hurt their chances, but he’s an odd dude, he probably thinks he can win wherever he goes and he’s probably right. Wherever he signs is probably wherever he feels at home.
