Their GM looks like a genius right now, talk about a gamble on a probable one year rental paying off, and managing his minutes all season too. I never, never thought I’d see the day the Raptors were in an NBA Finals. Kawhi is that good, a true 2-way superstar.

Yeah, I don't see him leaving now. Oh well. Maybe if he gets swept by GS . . . that's all I got.

Won championships with the Spurs. He left them. Just saying.

I still can see him leaving, especially if he wins the title, he owes Toronto nothing, then and forever a legend in those parts. Like a Western gunslinger just doing what he is paid to do

    Imagine this.....

Spurs Forward Kawhi Leonard 2014 Finals MVP
Raptors Forward Kawhi Leonard 2019 Finals MVP
Lakers Forward Kawhi Leonard 2020 Finals MVP

Kawhi would have one of the most unique careers in sports history if he plays this out.

Won in the East, won in the West, Won in another country. Won DOPY twice, likely will end up winning an MVP before he finishes his career.

Several stars have won chips on two teams, but how about getting the Finals MVP on 3 different teams?

Not if Kawhi is there. Lebron won't win another MVP unless he takes the current team with the 4th pick to a 2 or 3 seed next year.

Kawhi Leonard: 'I just want to win. I don't care about being the best player.'

That's what winners say right there. No stats. No media. No worthless fans. WIN. The only thing that matters in sports.

Spurs f***ed up by re-signing Mills and Pau Gasol ..

Kawh wasn't stupid , you're not going to win with LMA as your 2nd option in the West.

If he leaves T. He's a d******. It's a great place to live, great fans, good FO.
The winter argument is stupi, he's not a construction worker laying bricks. I would love to become a canadian legend.

That's you, @Kenzo Kawhi would rather be a local legend, adored by people he grew up with, winning with your favorite local team (which I hope is the Lakers)

I agree. Why be compared to Wilt and Kobe when you can rank up there with Alan Thicke, Tim Horton, and the dude who invented Trivial Pursuit.

We'll see pretty soon. I give us 5% chance to land him (only because of Bron).

If Kawhi is here, it will be very clear who the best player is.

Bron may not like that, or be willing to adjust his game if he’s not getting all the kudos, but Kawhi is clearly the better player at this stage of both of their careers. And he’s a better closer, defender, midrange, free throw shooter, and more.

And he plays through injury without exaggerating for crowd sympathy.

And he doesn’t demonstratively call out his teammates for his mistakes or theirs.

You’re right, he’s not coming here. He brought the the ball up the floor plenty during crunch time. Will he give that up to an aging and declining egomaniac who thinks he’s better? I’m not so sure.

But Kawhi in a Looney Tunes movie would be awesome sauce.

He'll be able to sign a Maple Syrup endorsement that would dwarf Lebron's Nike deal. Uncle Dennis Maple Syrup. It sells itself.
