    i rather see what ingram looks like next to james 1st....this leonard in tor thing might still be open to trades if leonard is a no show or he dogs it out there

    Exactly. I was going to throw in there after the point about him not going to OKC to play with Westbrook that he’s instead going to Toronto to play with multiple time playoff choker Lowry. That was part of my point about this being a huge downgrade for Kawhi in terms of winning and culture. You’re moving on from Ginobili, Parker, Pau, Aldridge, and you’re going to play with Lowry. He will feel the difference. I have to believe playing with LeBron, if winning IS a factor along with city he wants to live in, will remain very attractive.

    The reasons for Leonard staying might not mirror why George stayed. But the types of reports coming out surrounding the trade were similar. The fact that George kept flirting with the Lakers during last season just shows that we shouldn't be celebrating right now. There is a chance he is not a Laker next season.

    Also, our fanbase reacted very similarly after the George trade. Everyone clamored about how he wants to come home, wouldn't want to play in a small town like OKC. How Westbrick was going to take all his shots away. It only heightened after they lost in the first round to a team led by a rookie, and Westbrook chucked away.

    I wouldn't count our chickens just yet.

    If you were Magic, would you do this trade?

    Zo, Kuzma, Deng to Toronto
    Kawhi to LA

    I personally wouldn't and would wait but that trade works and gets us Kawhi right now. Looking at that lineup too.... damn. Thats solid as hell.

    It's also the type of talent thats different and going to Toronto who just lied face to face to their top star who loved it there and wanted to be there is also a huge thing.

    No organization is loyal. The C Bags did Thomas dirty last offseason but I don't see anyone not wanting to go there. It's a business, and the only obligation the FO has is to increase value for their shareholders.

    What luck for Raptor fans, the one star that actually expresses his content for playing in Toronto is the one they trade and alienate. That organization better be careful how they handle this trade.

    Kyrie Irving may just leave to go to the Knicks. Hayword picked the Cbags cause of his relationship to Stevens. No other NBA player has that same type of relationship to Stevens and they aren't any other free agents talking about going to Boston. Marcus Smart is publicly voicing his displeasure with the Cbags. I think that Isiah Thomas situation is gonna hurt the Cbags in getting future free agents but it really doesn't matter when you have all those picks.

    Well, I'm not one of those Lakers fans who needs Kawhi to come to us next July. I think he plans to but if he decides to stay or go somewhere else, I could care less and am very content with our future and where we're going

    To take your words from a post maybe 10 pages ago, do you have short term memory problems? Do you not forget what the Spurs wanted from us? They wanted the farm for a guy that was hellbent on coming here that sat out the year with an injury.

    This deal prolly hurts Philly and Boston more as Toronto may not trade within their conference and just look to the Lakers or Clippers for a trade mid season.

    LeBron's not getting any younger. And I never advocated trading all our young talent, just enough to get a deal done. I don't know the details, but based on the offer they got, it leads me to believe we could have had him for Ingram/Kuzma/picks - which I would have done.

    Also, our young guys value is at an all time high. If they don't improve much next season, suddenly the assets are worth much less.
