    Honestly, I’d rank him last as far as our odds to get someone. The more successful we are with netting guys like George and Lebron the less likely I think Pop will trade him to us.

    Are you still maintaining we should be trying to pull all of this off while still having DLO, Moz, Clarkson, Nance and Deng all on the books? I trust Magic and Rob unlike Jim and Mitch to do something great with the cap space, alternatives and flexibility we have. Look what's going on. How is this not the best position to be in compared to other teams chasing these 3 star free agents now?

    When did you become glass half empty guy? Jim and Mitch are gone. The "star" FA rumors wanting to be here and brush fires and smoke didn't even exist in their last 3 years in the FO. None of this is enough to try glass half full point of view?

    We are screwed ( by others teams) until a player says : Lakers or nothing else . period .

    Kawhi needs to come out and say LAKERS ONLY EVERYBODY ELSE KICK ROCKS.

    I'm not confident in a deal getting done UNLESS Kawhi comes out and says this....otherwise this is Paul George Part 2

    I just don't agree with this. If the Spurs are backed into a corner and forced to deal Kawhi, they'll be smart to take what they perceive to be the best return for him. If it's what we put together, they'll take it.

    We're not dealing with another "McHale sending KG to his buddy Ainge" type of situations, here.

    I think we are. Pop does NOT want to help the Lakers.

    The Spurs will take a lesser package for Kawhi if it means keeping him away from the Lakers...i think they will send him to the Clippers before they send him to us.

    yeah i think it goes lebron, PG, kawhi in terms of likeliest acquisitions

    but who would rob and magic be willing to give up for kawhi? i'd guess lonzo or kuz would be the obvious choices. BI is pretty much untouchable to the FO

    What actual evidence is there of this? Pop doesn't love the Lakers, but Buford isnt dumb enough to take a worse deal on a grudge.

    Nowadays superstars aren't especially interested in representing a specific team .

    They just want to play in a big market and team up with others ... whether it's for the Lakers , Clippers , Heat or Warriors , they don't care too much

    Maybe a tiny bit if teams are nervous about his injury history. It helps that we have cap space to trade him into.
