    The source is a Spurs reporter, it's from yesterday.

    That being said, Shams also reported that Kawhi might not be as interested in the Lakers with LeBron there and that the Clippers might be more desirable.

    I have no idea what games are being played here. I don't know who that helps? Who that hurts? Are they trying to put pressure on the Lakers to make a move? Because if I were Rob, my interest would fall precipitously if I'd heard he was afraid to play with LeBron. Are they trying to get someone else to make a big by making it seem like the Lakers aren't a priority? If so, why choose the Clippers? They don't have any assets. Maybe it's a leak from the Spurs in order to get someone like Philly or Boston to bite thinking "hey if he's willing to go to the Clippers, he has to be willing to come here?" I don't know.

    It's all a game. Of course the Spurs are leaking this stuff to try and make us nervous and give into there demands. Boston and Philly both are not offering anything of value as well, because they now that he wants to be here. Regardless, I find it hard to see Kawai playing for San Antonio this year even though no team wants to give up anything of significance for a one year rental. Let's see what happens I guess, we have some young guys that I'm really looking forward to seeing with this new team. Is it October yet?

    That sounds more believable. I don’t see why anyone would want to willingly go to the Clippers. Honestly I just wish all of this would be done with.

    I completely agree with this! Zo makes the most sense to keep around Kawhi and Bron, but my gut is saying BI is the one you just can't let go.

    If we get Kawhi without giving up Zo or BI, it's a huge win for us!

    Denver in: LA future 2nds
    Out: Faried/Arthur's expiring 21m to avoid luxury taxes, Denver future 1sts/pick swaps

    ATL in: Deng, Mills or Pau, Denver 1sts, LA future 1sts (ie 2023 and beyond)
    Out: Shroe or Baze

    Spurs in: Shroe or Baze, Expiring deals of Faried or Arthur, Kuz, Hart, Moe, '19 Lakers first (maybe '21 1st)
    Out: Kawhi, Mills or Pau salary dump

    LA in: Kawhi, expiring deal of Faried or Arthur

    Let's just say these recent reports are true that Leonard would rather be with the Paper Clips instead of the Lakers w/ Lebron on the team.

    1) Big injury questions marks after missing the entire 2017-18 season.
    2) Doesn't want the pressure of Lakers and being 2nd Fiddler
    3) His Uncle seems to be calling a lot of the shots, we're not hearing a thing from Kawhi

    Ya.... I really don't want to give up assets for this. If he really wants to come, prove it next July because I'm not about to lose assets even if its just Ingram for someone that may be unable being 2nd fiddle to Lebron which can turn into what is happening with the Spurs overtime. More than anything I don't trust Kawhi's people and who he has surrounded himself with.

    By the way the kid who said "fireworks" on July 4th deleted his tweets.

    The guy on the Spurs forum who said a deal was done said afterwards that Kawhi's camp thought a deal was done already, but the Spurs reneged on it. Now the Kawhi camp is spewing all kinds of crazy stuff to all the reporters in order to tank his value further so that the Spurs get even less. Also, the Spurs reporters are doing the same basic thing by leaking negative things about Kawhi.

    In the end, Kawhi's value is at an all time low right now. A deal is probably unlikely at least for a while.

    Sorry, not buying this clipper BS. If CP3, Blake, and Jordan were there, I'd say maybe. Even PG had Westbrook in OKC, there is nothing with the Clippers. Nothing.

    I think he will come. Most likely in August. Patience is the best path right now. The spurs dont want to have this looming for too long.
