He went up against another person as dedicated to rebounding as he is in Thompson. If Kobe wasn't on the team and we made more of a focus on Julius, then I think we would have seen a better game. His body language was pretty terrible at times though.
I think it's because Julius already had plans to go to the Bahamas so he told them to shove it with the invite. At least I think so. I hope so. Otherwise two slaps to the face like this is pretty ridiculous. Booker is already going to be there so he was an easy pick.
i still think not having three lakers might have something to do with it, too. not necessarily as an anti-laker agenda as much as an attempt to spread out fan interest.
We suck badly but we could have had good representation at the ASW. Russell, Clarkson and Randle at the Rookie/Sophomore game or whatever they call it now, Clarkson at the skills challenge, Kobe at the all star game and Nance at the dunk contest if he wasn't injured.
It also doesn't help when our center is Sacre or Hibbert, because that allows the opposing team's center to essentially not have to worry about their man. I've noticed it's a problem for us at times. The opposing team's center has zero respect for our center (unless Bass is in) and can go full throttle on help defense.
Glad Randle wasn't chosen...just gives him more fire and motivation to bust the league up. I love when the odds are against a guy like Randle...
