that's easy to say when we've already added Lebron James. Of course we'll be a better team next year, but a lot of us felt Randle would have been a great fit at least on a big 1 year deal. We'll deal with it and move on, but can you give people an hour or 2 to mourn first?

What this tells me is that LeBron/Kuz play Randle’s role, his agent probably didn’t want him here, and we have other plans in mind.

Well don't know how we split the $10 or if I owe all of it. Your boy opted to stay in the tent with RW on that mountain and Randle or Randle's agent talked him into being pissed and now he's gone too. But I agreed with you on PG being a Laker. Made no sense him choosing OKC. I think Magic and Rob got a whiff of Kawhi's perfume and he winked at them. Distracted. Lemme know. I got Paypal.

No worry. Just give him 5ft of space, and grab the rebounds after he bricks over and over again.

Nope...they remain until a player signs elsewhere. At the moment, we still have full bird rights of Jules, but lost the ability to match an offer sheet.

Maybe they agreed to remove the Restricted tag if he insists that he has to do a S&T with whatever team signs him? We find a way to nab a player or pick. If it's a pick, we could flip that to SA in a potential Kawhi trade.

Cuban should call DJ, say "sorry i've changed my mind" and sign Jules.

Woj just said on SC that he expects the market to open up on Randle. That we didn’t want to do more than a 1 year deal and he wanted more so we did him a solid and renounced him. He said teams don’t like to make big offers to RFAs because teams usually match, so now that he isn’t one the market opens up.

If I'm reading correctly, could this benefit us if he ends up coming back on a 1 year deal? We do this to sign him to just a 1 year deal, but keep his bird rights in case we need to go over the cap next year? Just trying to find a way to spin this in a way that he could still come back.

That being said, I doubt we get back together at the table with Mintz. He's done in LA....that's for sure!

I don't see your point here. The whole point of bird rights is to sign players and go over the salary cap. We can't do that with Randle right now. We can only sign him with available cap room.

I'm confused...so do we still have his bird rights?

Can we still sign him over the cap to a 1-year deal after we use up all our cap space?
