He’s still so prone to mental mistakes. Like, after 3 seasons you think would learn.

He’s so dynamic, but his turnovers come at the most inoppotunistic times.

Randle.... man, awesome talent, but it seems like his brain takes a vacation too often.

I’m torn with Randle. Puts up numbers. But I swear he makes the dumbest plays. Do you sign him up for market value?

I’ll just say yes because he does good work, he does work hard, and wants to be good. Those intangibles matter. I have to think that the dumb a** plays will disappear in due time. You basically end up with an aggressive, position versatile, double double machine. Sign him up for market.

If he had a brain, he’d be worth max. But he doesn’t, so he’s worth Clarkson money. I trade him or let him walk, I’m not locking him in for 15+ mil per year for 4 years of ripping my hair out frustration.

This is Randle when he brings the ball up court or goes 1 on 3 or 4

This is how Randle sees himself in those moments

and this is how Randle is when moronic things he does don’t work for some insane reason

Yes Randle deserves the bulk of everyone's ire here for putting up 23 and 15 with 60% shooting and helping us to a win. I swear we Lakers fans are the most spoiled bunch.

I'm not denying he had some bad plays down the stretch. But we aren't in that game without what he did on the court. It's just crazy to see the responses to this guy here and in Game Time. It's like the dude murdered some folks' family members or something.

I will take the very good with the ( sometimes very) bad ...

Overall this team lack of shooting/spacing and players off the ball movement (!!!) isn't helping his weaknesses

He did help us win, and I’m glad for it. But I’m not for keeping him long term anymore, he makes too many dumb mistakes, the kind of mistakes that cost teams games. If he could be kept for Clarkson money, you keep him, but if he’s going to ask 15+ mil or max (LOL), it’s so long and good luck for me. Russ was also good at putting up numbers with ease, but I don’t miss him, and I think we are better having moved on. Feel the same way about Randle. I was glad to see Eddie Jones go too, if we want to go further back, some players I just have this feeling that we do not need to invest more time and money in them than we have. If that makes me a spoiled hater then so be it.

LFR said it best: being a Julius fan is textbook insanity. He gives you all his heart but so often it comes with the worst mistakes. In the end though we certainly don't win that game without him and I'm very happy for him that he gets to do that at home.

If anything though, this makes me want to keep him around IF we can get a star or two. Get a real star, limit Julius's possessions and therefore limit his mistakes. He'd make a wonderful small ball five with LeBron and George on the squad.

Unfortunately Julius is everyone's new favorite punching bag. He gets slammed even after a 23/15 game.

New? He’s being making the same mistakes since he started.

What everyone here is hoping for him to improve on is to learn from those mistakes. If you ever listen to Luke’s interviews, he’s saying the same thing. He wants Randle to learn.

It’s no secret that everyone here is saying thing about his play. He’s a very dynamic player, who helps us win games, but his mistakes can and will lead to losses as well. He’d improve dramatically if he just learns from his mental mistakes.

If Randle had even average court awareness he'd be an all star

As @Punk-101 pointed out, he'd be an allstar already if he didn't have those lapses.

What seems to be a common theme is people raiding into this thread asking for Randle's head unless he has an absolute perfect game. Those same people are no where to be found in the Nance or Ingram thread even though they produce stinkers at double the rate of Randle.

Maybe because they don’t make the same mistakes over and over again?

Maybe because they actually adjust their game and improve in areas they need to?

    Maybe that’s why there’s a “common theme”.

Ya but if he is playing against all star talent in a big game, his stupidness will get exposed greatly.

Get this man some Lakers credentials asap. We're going to need him in the war room with Mag & Rob when we start wheeling and dealing.

But based off your profile pic, I'm thinking you probably shouldn't smile during the pitch.
