Teams do physicals before approving contracts. But, there was no way to know that Bynum was going to go bowling!

8-14, 2-4 from 3, 5-6 FT, 23 points, 12 rebounds and some beasting again under the basket. Nice game big guy. You can slide on the 4 TO.

Randle and Clarkson's good games seem to coincide.

See I'm not blaming Luke for that at all. It's not like Julius has just started being open from the three point line. It's been there all freaking year, he just refused to take the shot. It's about time.

i'm guessing that LFR's stance is that luke should have been forcing him to shoot those open shots from the get go.

it's quite unlikely that julius is a better shooter today than he was in october.

Maybe the after practice 3 pt contest had a purpose?......

Either way I'll take it. It's development.

There was a sequence late in the game where Randle pump faked a 3 and the defender bit, allowing him a free path to the hoop. With a reputable 3, Randle becomes so hard to guard.

I mean... it's like anything else. He can't really force the kids to do things on the court.

I blame Luke more for our lack of defensive awareness.

same deal, though. if the coach can't force action, then...is he a good coach? you don't hear things like: "well, popovich can't get these guys to make defensive rotations or take open shots". some of that could be on the organization, too (not supporting the coach the way SA has supported Pop). still, it's not like you're asking luke to make julius MAKE the shot.

It goes both ways for sure. I can't blame Luke for him not taking or making shots. I can blame him for not convincing Julius earlier how important it is that he shoot.

I just blame Julius more for not taking the shot. As a kid who hated failing and was not comfortable doing things I wasn't good at, I get it. But this is part of the game and part of being a pro. Julius ultimately is responsible for doing the right things on the court as long as Luke is teaching him the right things. I'm pretty positive coaches were telling him to shoot it but maybe not.

I think if Pop had this young team we'd see fewer lazy or dumb mistakes for sure. That's part of being a great coach for a long time though. Luke is as much a baby as our players

It's a combination of player confidence and coaching. Zubac hasn't taken a single 3pt shot. Are you going to blame him too? This is all part of the development. We are a young team.

I didn't watch the second half, but 2/7 for 4 points? This is maddening. There's no excuse for that s*** especially in a game when Ingram was out.
