I don't disagree, he does need to shoot, make or miss. You're right, Nance isn't a great shooter either, but when he's open he takes them. What I see Nance doing and Randle not doing though is moving without the ball, cutting to the hoop, things like that. Randle stands around the perimeter waiting for the ball, and he's a ball stopper, sets weak screens so he can come right off the screen to get the pass. These are things I think the system or coaching can help. If Ingram can be given the ball and put in spots to succeed by Luke then Randle can be given more of a clear assignment, and then if he doesn't follow through on it, like you say, bench him. But what I'm seeing right now is the same Randle of last season on bad nights, a guy who looks to be playing in a different system than everyone else, out there doing his own thing and lost.

Yes this is on the coaches to make him more aware and better as a player in their system. Earn the all world hype we've all bestowed on them. I have anyway. I think Luke finds a way to get through to him. He was dealing with a time bomb last year in Green apparently from that article in the Warriors thread. But he had to take some crap because he didn't feel it his place to jeopardize Green's psyche and play by treating him differently than he had as an assistant such as shagging balls for him. He'll never be in that weak of a position again now that he's the head coach.

Would you trade him to the 70 centers for anything?

Nah. We now have centers coming out of our ears with Moz, Black, Zubac and whoever we throw there in small ball lineups

I didn't see the post-game show tonight, but I heard that Worthy, Bres, and Jamison all think that Nance will get the Julius' starting position at some point during the season.

At this point Nance is the better basketball player, even though Randle Is more talented. The good thing is Randle is starting in effect his second season so he has time to get it together.

Starting two players who can't shoot is a recipe for disaster in today's NBA ... It's not like Julius is compensating it by playing solid D .

As Lakerfilmroom said it in the podcast , start Deng at the 4 and Young at SF until Ingram is ready to take the spot ...

Come on Randle, youve been working on that jumper all summer, lets see you use it some in game. It will open up your game so much, you have to know that right.

That little fading floater in the lane that he takes every now and then is money, lets see it more.

Well. Simmons yeah. haha. Mpt sure about Okafor. With what we're building here, he may be a bad fit.

I feel like randle plays face up way too much and crashes in the paint.

He has a nice touch and makes them, but that definitely isn't the shots i want him to keep on taking. I want him to pump more and use some better footwork.
