I'm a huge Randle fan, have been since the beginning. But he's raw, raw, raw and needs to work on a lot of different things this summer and during the season. I see that he has the drive to improve though and his unique physicality/quickness/strength are great building blocks to have. He has the potential to be pretty unstoppable. But it's going to be a road to get there. He needs to do better particularly at recognizing when to pass out from the post and cleaning up the lazy passes on the perimeter; he needs to continue to improve on that off hand, which I saw some signs of last season; he needs to shore up his help defense which was garbage last year; and of course he needs to improve that jumper from everywhere on the court - mid range, short distance and long range. He missed too many chippies down low, looked horrific from mid-range (always shot too hard from there), and needs to build confidence in his three pointer which actually looked pretty good.

The good things I saw last year that he needs to continue are he's a pretty decent man on man defender, he's good with switching onto guards, and he's one helluva natural rebounder. He's got instincts and skills on the boards that you can't even teach.

Got to love this kid. Got to. He's not even playing in SL, but he's there to make sure the team is working together and learning each other and the system. It's amazing. I'm hoping to see a large step forward in his game.

Randle has quite a bit to work on and is far from polished but he is by all intents and purposes a rookie last season. 24 has encouraged and instilled a working man attitude in him. I agree that his strongest trait is his rebounding. The other refinements will come in due time.

What I do find encouraging about Randle is his competitiveness...throwing back business at Garnett and Green to me speaks volumes. He's out to stake his claim and will not be intimidated. Green even likens Randle to himself.

Probably the same court that Kobe broke his wrist on before his rookie year
