Just leap-frogged Quincy and of course Bronny. Obviously because he has actual experience in the NBA with some nice games under his belt. Including now for the Lakers themselves …. thrown into the fire for 21 minutes in a pressure situation with Gabe’s minutes restriction. Under the brightest of lights including with “You Know Whos” sitting on the bench. With a HAS to be always crappy face mask and sore face to deal with. Against a red hot coming in Pacers team with athletes and talent he was assigned to defend. And he did all that while handling the ball well like he’d been in the rotation all along, against their tough, desperate pressure defense at that point in the game …. and scored us some points. Didn’t shrink in the moment that’s for sure. Some Big Balls to pull that off.

Goodwin > Shake

 

You have to sign this guy. He’s been really good.

 

Goodwin is kind of the story here. We know what we got in the others. For me, this guy has kind of came out of nowhere. We are so loaded.

Unfortunately he probably will be main rostered next season

 

Pretty big if the Lakers found a good physical PoA defender who you have to at least guard on defense. That fills one of the two big holes in the roster unexpectedly and turns a negative to a positive

That's a lot of defense with good matchup versatility if Godwin takes over the Max role well. Gabe at the PG spot, Godwin for SG, DFS for wings and bigs, Vando for everybody.

Lakers have to cut a player to convert Goodwin's contract to a permanent one from my understanding

 

That’s exactly what he is IMO. Add in his rebounding ability and we have a winner.

 

so now we have to cut two players and sign goodwin and whichever center we decide upon.

again, does anyone know if the above is possible? i know we can do one, but if we wait until the last minute, can we do two (on account of pro-rated contracts)?

 

I think Buha said it would be difficult to impossible to make it work after the failed trade because we inched ever closer to the second apron
