Rewatching the 4th, Jordan cost us the game more than anyone else. Offensively he had three straight isolations that resulted in missed shots, a key missed dunk opportunity, and a horrible non-forced turnover. He was horrendous to end the game and really contributed to what ended up being a selfish 4th quarter in general for our kids.

To be fair to him, there was about 5 minutes in the 4th where he was playing with Brewer and Nwaba who aren't shooters and are new to the offense, but it's still incumbent on him to get the offense working. If he's going to lead the bench, he needs to lead them.

Was Lou really affecting him that badly? Why didn't he step up when he was the only capable 2 guard available?

He is horrible on defense as always but he did shoot 9 for 16 last night.

Clarkson is a one trick pony. All he can or wants to do is score. Doesn't rebound, doesn't defend, doesn't like to pass much. He just gets his 30 minutes and tries to get buckets. He's the one to trade of the young core to get something back.

Since the ASB, Clarkson is at 17.5 points, 3.0 assists, 2.7 rebounds, and 1.5 steals. He's shooting 45% on FGs, 88% on FTs, but only 27% on threes. In 29.7 MPG.

He does the job Lou was doing, more or less. I don't mind moving him, but he has a role to play here.

I cringe every time he takes a jumper. He's so much more efficient around 10 ft.

And the ball stops in his hands too much, the offense is stagnant with him in.

    He's shooting 42% 10-16 feet and 44% from 16 to 3pt. That's good.
    By comparison, Steph Curry's shooting 45% 10-16 and 45.5% 16 to 3pt.

It's not his shooting that bothers me. It's his inability recognize situations on both ends of the floor.

That's a legit concern. His defense is troublesome - always has been. I think he'll get back to being a better distributor without Lou, honestly.

I think Magic told him to go be Kobe for this team.

If the Lakers get to keep their pick and then get Ball or Fultz, then almost certainly Clarkson becomes the most expandable guy from the young core by a mile. I think he has a role to play here. He is instant offense from the bench and these type of players always find a role in the NBA.

He's a nice young spark off the bench with a reasonable contract......that will be helpful to match salaries when we trade for Paul George this offseason.

Jordan is playing a bit better recently. I know Lou left, but by any chance has he broken up with a Kardashian? :Brows:

Not quite a black hole, but he was pretty close tonight. He can get to the rim at will. I just wish he'd occasionally drive and kick it. Defense was abysmal, but he scored the ball well.
