Exactly. You see how Dlo, and Nick just launch their shots up high.

    Deng is even worse

At this point, I'd probably insert Clarkson into the Starting lineup. I'd rather take my chances with Huertas running with the 2nd unit.

do the lakers have a shot doctor on call? guys who have worked on their shots tend to unconsciously fall back on bad habits over time and need refreshers here and there. dirk nowitzki brings his guy in twice a year to correct slippage. you can see that clarkson's threeball looked better early in the season. this should be correctable.

    same with deng.

Clarkson worked his butt off all summer to be the same player offensively I'm guessing. our PGs are all injured he should be averaging close to 20 during this stretch & he's had quite a few stinkers, more than normal as of late.

I'm unhappy with his progress. I think it's mostly mental, but I'm still unhappy with it.

I thought he had a nice bounce back game last night after the pretty bad road trip performances. Shot 7 for 13, 17 points and a handful of boards. He shoots so much better at home. He needs to improve that.

He needs to start if Russell+Calderon are still out. Houston is a winnable game, but we need firepower in that 1st unit.

Maybe winnable if we start Metta on Harden and give one of these to him in the jump circle at the start .... [IMG]

Shot looks broke, strange considering all the work he put in over summer.

I don't know what to say. Before this season he was probably my favorite Laker. What's happened?

He's been asked to be a primary ball handler early in his career, then he was supposed to be offense off the bench. Maybe it's a little too much for him to adapt to. Or maybe it's just a malaise that we're all experiencing - the Lakers aren't playing well right now, and they're missing key players. I know it's an opportunity for someone to emerge as a leader, but we're not really seeing that happen.

I feel like he has become codependent with DeAngelo Russell or Lou Williams. I can't put my finger on it, but it's odd.

he lost his mojo. seriously, this is largely in his head, imo. he does need to get back to the shot mechanics he was showing in the summer/preseason, but ultimately, you can see he doesn't trust his abilities. the forced shots are bravado, not true extreme confidence (a la lou/kobe).

Shot 4-11 out there, 4 assists.. I'm not worried about him, injuries at the guard position side walled him and threw him off due to role changes/higher option . He's got fire in him, he'll be alright.

His defense has been atrocious, which is something he knew he had to improve on. Lots of games left to prove us wrong, but not seeing much from him from game to game on that end.

He started pre-season and the year locked in defensively too, which is so bizarre.
