I don't know for certain but I'm confident in saying it's worse than Summer League. Summer League at least the player go through coaching and game day strategies where as Drew League is just pick up ball.

Agree... Yes, his form is smoother. Makes me wonder if he has the same secret "shooting coach" as Randle's. The extra muscle will help him maintain balance on drives and dives. Clarkson has already proven he can score off the dribble which he is very good at. With 24 out, he'll have the lion's share of minutes at the 2 spot. At least 25-30 a game... Williams should be able to spell him in relief.

What I like about him is that when he is rewarded, Clarkson will do his best to live up to it. I've seen too many ballers take their foot off the gas and coast through their contract.

Isn't it crazy we can even utter these words? Seems like it wasn't long ago that Magic was our first $1 million per year player, and now a hopefully impactful starter that might get to 20/4/4 is a steal at 50 mil.

    :Mindblown:

It's weird I remember him saying when he signed the deal that he signed one that was purposely lower than he could have gotten on the open market because it would keep that chip on his shoulder. Weird mentality, but whatever works! It helps the team too.

Back then, that contract caused a fuss...to the point where it pissed off The Captain. Lucky that Dr. Buss was really good when it came to calming things down. If the past greats that we all know played in this era, the spending craziness would be to the nth degree. Not just the obvious superstars but solid ones like a Bernard King, Chris Mullin, Pippen, Mourning....just to name a few.

It's awesome that the current NBAPA is choosing to offer health insurance to former players in retirement. They recognize they are benefiting in a crazy way from those that have gone before them.

Disjointed personnel in Philadelphia, the tough fans, cold weather...having to start over again with new teammates. Those factors could have played in his decision. Here in L.A. he has a chance to revitalize a glamour franchise in a big market with a well liked new coach and a crew he's already tight with. Clarkson wants to improve his game and increase his value for a bigger payday down the road. He probably realizes there could be something special starting and wants to be part of that.

Right now, Clarkson's the good cop of the bunch kind of like Fisher when he was with us. I really dig our kids. Deep down, I do not want to break up this core. Let a veteran superstar whoever that may be come in to lead them via free agency without sacrificing one of them unless it is a ridiculous deal that we would be foolhardy not to accept.

I think JC deserves 50mill even if he the cap hadn't gone up. That's avg. pay IMO for a starting G that's improved from year to year, regardless of his warts. I remember the Dall paying Marquee Daniel that much money as well being a 2nder showing similar game.
