I don't think ? I've seen anyone mention that Clarkson's starting to kill it with his footwork out there. And he's got Kobe right there to watch and learn from. Though this shoulder thing has me freaked.
In all seriousness, Jordan should've probably kept Kobe's light-skinned comment to himself. As harmless and playful as it may have been, sports and media in general have been very sensitive to racism in the past few years. Comments like this have the potential to bring unwanted negative attention to the franchise, and Kobe in particular. That's the last thing the Lakers need right now. As far as I'm concerned, all negativity should steadfastly remain directed at Byron Scott's coaching and nothing else.
The lights skin vs dark skin jokes are a kind of common tongue in cheek joke, made among some black people. It's like Irish people making fun of other Irish people for being drunks. I bet Nance and Clarkson have heard something like that before with all the s*** talking on the court, but Kobe wasn't really being serious.
I know. I mean it's racist, but it's not like I don't get it. I've played sports I know how these things go. It's all good natured, but when you look at it outside that setting it's not cool. If you're going to make jokes like that with your buddies, better to keep those things in the locker room than tell the media where such a joke can be so easily misconstrued.
I'm a white dude, and I think it's hilarious. Kobe pushing buttons. People do need to lighten up, but you just KNOW someone is out there ready to pounce on this to make a name for themselves. Thank God white people don't have their version of Rev Al Sharpton and Jessie just waiting in the wings for opportunities like this, at least that have an audience or the same exposure. Who give a rats a** at least. And just for fun!!!
Hell they made the movie White Men Can't Jump. Nothing to see here .....keep moving. But keep my teachings to yourself young Jedi. :Clarkson:
I'm sorry, I don't care if that's not PC, that's hilarious. I laughed out loud when I heard JC say that. And come on, we know exactly what he means, and IMO he's not wrong.
JC has been having a good couple games? He needs to get benched. Thats what happened to Randle and Russell, why stop now?
Doesn't seem to have that "take over the game" mentality, even though he's almost always our best option. Wonder if that has something to do with the system.
