Jordan's struggles in the 4th quarter might have cost us the game. I think he's going to have work on playing off the ball more. To be fair he was fighting really hard defensively, but his focus wasn't quite on point.
Man we got lucky with Clarkson. Really impressed with this kid, he's going to be special *knock on wood*
He's impressive in his second season. He was fundamentally complete coming into his rookie year. That cannot be understated. Not having to learn or fill in for missing fundamental skills allowed him to concentrate on figuring out the NBA. Players that come in as fundamentally sound as him are fairly rare it seems. He's got a fairly high ceiling.
I'm still not sure where Clarkson is more affective. I think he needs the ball in his hands alot to feel in "the zone", he is not Bradley Beal who can find his shot just by staying open. So until Russel becomes this master passing leader, I think Clarkson works the best next to his buddy J.Brown. The Lakers has alot of potential that the coaching staff needs to find ways to unleash. deciding who plays next to who, for me, is a major factor for us to get in the playoffs. I see the best lineups as: Clarkson, Brown, Kobe, Randle, Hibbert - If Brown continues to play like in summer league - thats perfect. Russel, Williams, Young, Bass, Black/Upshaw (depends how bad they are defensivly with Black) - The crazy offensive attack lineup. the "fun" lineup.
