Glad we never gave him a shot to see what he can do

He is better than Jones, flat out. And better two way player Thomas Bryant was for us. Not sure why we hated him. I knew it was never going to happen here when we're bringing in Boogie and Meyers in for workouts

So he could have been on a 2 way? I thought we thought because of his time in G league he couldn’t. Maybe that was just with the Lakers and our history with him?

i thought he couldn't do a two-way, either, but he could--you can for two years, i think. but our two-way spots are full.

i personally like huff better than swider or pippen, but our scouts are pretty good at this stuff, so who knows.

He was a two way last season and upgraded to a roster spot I think? I don’t think he was eligible for anything but an actual roster spot.

i think if we cut swider or pippen, we could have signed him to a two-way. it would have been his second with us, right?

Yeah I’d have cut Swider, I don’t see it with him. He’s not athletic and he has the muscle tone of Gumby.

Might be wrong but I don’t think we ever had Jay on a 2 way?

I think we have had him in once or twice for really short minutes. This would have been the season to actually see if he could hack it as and end of the bench or little further forward insurance piece to have on the roster. Might have developed into a back up center even. They must not have liked his foot speed laterally .... don't know what else it could be.

I like Jay Huff and wish we had brought him up for our 15th spot. But, you and @abeer3 are sleeping on Swider. He just had his best game so far last week going for 38 / 10 with 8 threes. He can play.

8 threes? Greatly stroke..maybe he'll stick with the team on a vet minimum next season.

It’s the G-League, I take pretty much no stats seriously in the G-League. There’s a good number of guys that do well there that cannot play in the league, short guards do well for example. Then when they get to the league their issue becomes glaring, and Swider’s glaring issue is lack of athleticism, he can’t hang at NBA speed from what I’ve seen, and also can’t defend his shadow. And again, muscle tone of a canned ham. Huff likely has a similar issue that’s held him back, whether it’s being a bit too skinny, not quick enough, or whatever it is, but I’d still have liked to have gotten a look at him in the NBA outside of garbage time.

I don't see him as being any better than Wenyen or Mo TBH.

Maybe … maybe you’re wrong. But probably could have slotted him in our last slot for around vet minimum or had him on a 2 way?
