Well earned thread bump. 10 & 8 in 13 minutes. Great energy on both ends. Helped get us off to a hot start in the 1st.
I guess I’m not sophisticated enough to understand why Mc Gee gets as much negativity around here usually as he does.
McGee had a tough time with the Joker today. So tough the Joker knocked him all the way too the second page of the Lakers discussion forum. Hope McGee can give us some good minutes next series as I think McGee has been a good teammate and shown us some heart this year.
Those two gave us amazing energy from the bench, leading the way in our bubble cheering section. Either of them could have pouted and made a stink over not playing and in McGee's case from starting to DNPs. But they didn't, not even for a second.
He's useful in the regular season , Dwight can come back ... on a low salary though . Boogie can't defend to save his life
dont let Mcgee shot blocking fool you as being a good defender, the lil minutes Mcgee got against Jokic shows he cant defend Jokic passing, PnR nor his post ups....Boogie cant defend PnR either but Jokic wouldnt be able to move him in the post like a rag doll like he did to Mcgee
Yeah, he's like Whiteside. They chase blocks over the smart defensive plays. I still like McGee as a locker room guy but we do need his roster spot. I felt like he was great for the regular season in transition and cleaning up lobs but in the playoffs, he was a non-factor. Would be interesting to see what we do since Cousins is reportedly interested in returning.
Bump. Saved from Page 2 .... before he gets moved to NBA Discussion soon? https://www.yahoo.com/news/lakers-javale-mcgee-sells-encino-210159820.html
I'm fine with that. I like Javale. At this point I'm really hoping we can get a break on Deng's contract with the injury exception. If we can get out from under that it seems like we might be able to bring back our guys (depending on the market value for them - looking at you Rondo and KCP and Howard), and possibly lure a midlevel FA like Gallo or possibly Ibaka without exceeding the hard cap.
Very good. Yes Dwight was better last season, but keeping our size to challenge teams over the course of the season is necessary IMO, even if we have to run Dwight or AD as our death lineup in the playoffs.
I wouldn’t get too attached, remember that report that we wanted to move on. He may have opted in because that’s the most money he was gonna get, but now he’s enticing trade salary.
