Zubac may not get PT every game. I see him getting 5-10mpg every few games. Unlikely to play every night, but he'll get enough burn to keep him ready and ease into the NBA.
Zu has been generating buzz in the Summer League... He'll get time in the regular season likely sporadic in the beginning. Walton will use him in specific situations against second and third stringers. The key with Zu is to remain patient and work on his game along with his physique.
Zubac is a kid. If he looks like an airhead, maybe it's because he is. He's 19. John Calipari said it best. You wanna draft a kid, you have to know he is a kid. If you try to treat 18 and 19 year olds like men in their mid 20's, you are going to run into problems. Byron Scott comes from that "old school" mentality, which is total horse crap. In life, you need to adapt. We get it, you like the old days, but we are not going to use pagers and rotary phones broseph, get with the times and then you can still incorporate the old ways to a certain extent. It's called evolving.
I watched portions of the game against Nawlins with the TWC play by play. Worthy compared Zu to Divac on how the vets were drawn to the young Croat as a person. Good to see that is happening now reading the comments from Nance and Russell.
Man, so much judging of personal lives going on here lately. Ingram has stupid tattoos, coach Jesse talks dumb, Auguste looks like a clown because tattoos and hair, Zubac's girlfriend looks like an airhead, Russ is too cocky because of his glasses. Anything I'm forgetting?

Zu's comrades will be Nance and Moz... I see Randle looking after him as well. Bigs frat amongst themselves.Them guards be too flashy... Zu's blocks aren't ESPN Top 10 Plays Of The Night highlights but he keeps the ball in play for his teammates. None of this spiking it into the bleachers and doing the Alonzo Mourning scowl.
IF Zubac is the real thing then Mozgov's contract is actually easier to swallow for me. Zu won't be eligible for big money during that contract anyways and Moz can be a mentor to him. So until then, we have the center position wrapped up for under 20 mil. In a few years they could be a formidable tandom with Zu getting 30 min and Moz 18. And as for minutes Moz has never averaged more than 25 mins, not sure why that's a concern. So IF Zu is our answer at center, I'll just look at as if Moz is getting Zu's money for the next 4 years.
