I'd start him now while Ball is out but when he's back, IT sit your on the bench and be our 6th man. Hell, I think he'd be great leading the bench squad.
our starting lineup now is fine, hart is giving us a great dynamic player, f this smurf, id only bench kcp for him even that might be a bad move
IT above (below) sounds like he's thrilled. To get out of the toxic mess he pretty much created in Cleveland along with what LeBron started, to finally come here. Am sure if he feels strongly enough about seeing things exactly as Magic and Rob and Luke would like him to that he can always tell his agent STFU you work for me. ✔@ramonashelburne Told by multiple sources that Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka have been in touch with IT and he's "ecstatic " about being a Laker. Unclear whether the issue of starting was discussed, however. 11:59 AM - Feb 8, 2018
I think it works well for IT to come off the bench. Hes clearly still not recovered from injury and he will "look" better against 2nd units. It will also kill the narrative that he's a locker room issue if he "happily" takes on the 6th man role. Might actually get him paid a bit more than the current narrative would.
I honestly don’t think IT created the toxic environment. I think it was already toxic, and that’s why Kyrie asked out. That entire team clearly did not like eachother. I think IT didn’t help things, and he was the only one willing to say publicly what the rest of the team wouldn’t, that they didn’t help eachother on defense and went 1 on 1 on offense too much, etc. The Cavs added Hill, Hood, Clarkson, and Nance today. Dumped Wade, Rose, IT, Frye, Shumpert, and Crowder, complete overhaul. The Cavs set themselves up for life after LeBron, while at the same time putting a roster around him he might also stick around for, they did a good job, much as I hate them.
KCP also shoots the ball every time he gets it. I like IT's chances better of making them if he can heal up. I don't want to start IT over Hart though.
KCP has been playing very well lately actually and I'm fine with him starting. Thomas is a more natural fit off the bench. It doesn't really matter though as long as someone is willing to come off the bench.
