Yes that was a bad look and blow to my point haha. But I've seen JC fail in trap situations for years. AND I'll raise you a LFR tweet, whose a guy that clearly watches our team closely as well.
Well here ya go. One MVP "type" who wants to play for the Lakers next year. Too bad it's the midg .... errrr ..... short dude that LLLLL hates. http://www.lakersnation.com/isaiah-thomas-free-agent-hopes-re-sign-lakers-long-term/2018/02/26/
Too early to make predictions, but I hope for his career’s sake that IT can make this a legitimate discussion. Easy guy to root for.
Of course he wants to be here long term, we have like 60 mil in cap space right now. He wants that brinks truck money, but sorry, Boston screwed him over with his health and he’s not getting it. If he wanted to stick here long term for the MLE, well, then maybe that’s a different story. He’d be a hell of a backup PG.
yeah, guys who aren't stars are ALWAYS willing to stick with their current team, as it's generally them that can offer the most cash. it's even better when the team is capped out and has bird rights! then they really love the home team. honestly, i'm sure he still wants to play for la like he did before he was a big name, too. i think he comes back on a big-ish one-year deal if the lakers strike out in FA.
I mean he's got 20 games to prove he's an MVP again. If he does that, let's talk. I'm not getting my hopes up and honestly neither should he or his agent. Unfortunately for IT his injury really hurt his bottom line and he'll probably never get a giant payday.
His loyalty to Boston was what caused his current woes, played his heart out despite injuries but got stabbed in the gut by sniveling bastard Ainge.
I'd love nothing more than to see IT kill it for us and make us seriously consider re-signing him... And by kill it, I mean lead us to a double digit winning streak where he goes for 29-6-3 like he averaged last year, and we get CLOSE to the playoffs.
Seriously, the C Bags did this dude dirty and I'm sure many players share that sentiment. I really hope Kyrie walks away from that trashy organization. #BuckFoston
What a stud in the 4th quarter. That's exactly what we needed - a veteran and a closer. Looked great tonight. Also, he should punch KCP in the face for shooting techical FTs. Is Pope aware that Thomas is on our team now?
Damn, should we take a hard look at IT in the off-season as a backup plan? If things don’t work out with other FA’s, I’d give him a KCP type deal with a Player Option.
I gotta give one thing to IT -- he is a charming dude. And a good player. But he will not play for the Lakers next season.
