Vogel needs to stop with the Westbrook and Rondo lineups

I’m still on team Vogel. We’ve seen what he can do when you surround him with players that fit his style of play. We have only one guy capable of playing perimeter defense. This roster falls on Rob, Lebron and AD.

yep. bring in a bunch of bad team defenders, be a bad team defense. vogel can only do so much here. he's not telling people to miss rotations, and he's really not in a position to start benching our best players' best friends.

I tend to believe Cranjis. He actually breaks down and studies the tape.

    So, yeah, be better Frank.

Because we have no other healthy forward on the roster. That's on Rob for not wanting to pay the luxury tax on giving Ennis a guaranteed deal, instead settling on another undersized guard with AB.

The only other option is to go big, which everyone complains about too. At least with Melo, he's a career bucket getter and there's a chance he can get us out of the hole if he gets hot. Dwight or DJ can't do that.

The D will get better when Ellington and his tweaked hammy get back and need minutes.

Went back to Game Time to see what the comments were when Russ as soon as he got down the floor in that (what normally would have been, not as it turned out) last chance possession to tie the game as we were 3 down .... and chucked up that block of masonry. Probably fortunately the comments had moved on to Melo's air ball and other chances that happened as it turned out. But I did find this quote and yeah, if Frank needs support, then get the whole damn staff into a room with Russ alone and .....

    Khmrp:
vogel needs to grow a set n tell russ chill on the 3s

If all Vogel can do is coach defense, he needs to be an assistant, not the head coach.

Why even imply the offense is all Frank? He’s got with him being paid well I’m assuming Fizdale, Handy, Lucas, Penberthy , Simon and Quinton Crawford. You seriously think they don’t have input? Especially when he’s trying to get the defense going with who we lost and who we haven’t had available.

    Good job tonight.

When he's benching guys because of their defense performances, it warms my heart.

I love this as well. I think Bradley deserves more minutes.

    I can only hope so

I still think Vogel is a damn good coach too, he’s just been dealt..a lot early on this season, and in general with this roster. But I’m not one to get too down on a good coach, probably only because I remember the years between Phil and him, which were brutal. I don’t like everything he does, but I like him so much more than every single coach after Phil.

Vogel did not want this roster , Bron and AD DID ... He has little blame imo other than still starting DJ which is a poor decision

Anyone else think the starting lineup should actually be:

    Bradley/Reaves/Lebron/AD/Dwight?

i think dwight plays better off the bench, and vogel's backed into a corner a bit because despite the talk, AD doesn't want to start at c.

Dude led the squad with a +30 last night. Next closest was AD at +10.

    There’s something there.

Am surprised to see the numbers above are that good, all things currently happening considered plus the roster turnover and so many rotation guys out.
