And his offense is producing open looks. It’s not his fault a roster of historically pretty good shooters misses wide open shots.
Frank Vogel former head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, fired for playing Rajon Rondo big minutes in a playoff game after Rondo has not played in months. Also played him with two bigs and Lebron James. Just nonsense. Absolute nonsense. Grow a pair and ditch the politics Frank.
Bit extreme, and we can’t continue a coaching carousel, but..I can’t say he’s wrong. Vogel can give in to team politics and possibly risk being fired for pissing off our stars, or he can do the right thing and have a better shot at actually winning. His choice, he’s head coach.
all you have to do is limit this team from playing fast n theyre toast, which is odd to say since Hou also likes to play fast
He doesn't need to stop coaching the Lakers, but he needs to make the necessary adjustments. Or Rob needs to have a conversation with him...
Poor rotations and poor strategy on utilizing AD. Postups vs Tucker won't work. These guys had almost a week off, what have they been doing?
F***, he’d rather go out in the 2nd round than man up and sit a dude that has no business playing anymore.
This. I’m not surprised. Vogel will make adjustments for game 2, but I’m not sure reducing Rondo’s minutes will be one of them. Coaches need to just bench players that are this far past their prime, but they usually don’t. I have a lot of respect for Vogel as a coach, but if he continues to think he can play Rondo big minutes and still win, we’re going to lose this series. I think Vogel will make the right decision, I’m just hoping it’s sooner rather than later.
Rondo will keep playing unless we're down 0-2 ( and I'm not even sure about it). We have talked about this all season long , it what it is ... We know Rondo is probably going to cost us a championship and that's why I have wished a season ending injury for him ( and got criticized here for it) The area where I'm most dissapointed in is the Bron/AD dynamic , we should see many actions between them ( PNR , inverted PNR , hand off ect) and we saw none of it
I don't why he decided to play Rondo and Lebron at the same time. That kills the spacing because you have two ball handlers, where Lebron is the primary one and Rondo is relegated to catch and shoot, which he sucks at. Eric Gordon was literally like 6ft away from Rondo. That's how little respect they have for his shooting.
We'll see if Vogel does the necessary adjustments and the team gives better effort to fight through...
"Man, why the hell are you experimenting with lineups that make no damn sense in the first place and with a guy who hasn’t played since March 3 in the mfin western conference semifinals Give yourself a mfin chance man" Sounds like Doc Brar is every bit as pissed as @Doc Brown
Taking Bron out with 8 minutes to play when we were rolling up 102-96 with him at the 5 was a TERRIBLE decision . Without consequences but very bad move
