Good to see Lebron in attendance. I expect the season to work out better than last. But I’ve been saying that for a few years now. So...
Vogel & Bron are the only competent members of this organization with any power. Any short-term success we have in player acquisition & actual winning basketball on the court will come from them.
Shouldn’t someone in our FO attended this other then Rambis? Probably didn’t want to open them selves up to questions.
How come no one asked about his domestic issues when he was getting the Knicks or Bucks jobs? Narrative didnt fit the bullcrap?
I liked what I heard about wanting to use analytics more, how he wanted the offense to work, and that he doesn't believe the switching defense should be an all the time things. I remember reading some takes from Pete Zayas a week or so ago and he said that he liked that Vogel didn't just rely on switches as often as most coaches do defensively. Frank said he would do it from time to time but wouldn't lean on it like we saw Luke did. Luke had the players switching often when you really don't have to do it all the time. I'm see GSW and the Bucks do a good job with this in the playoffs. Only switching when they need to.
Very cool of LeBron to take time off the set of his apparent Fresh Prince reboot to attend this. In all seriousness, I like how Vogel came across today, I feel fine with him now. Still hate Kidd though.
Just catching up in this thread in linear fashion and have not gotten to the video yet. Yeah. Sabonis is a nice player and young and strong and 6'10" or so, right? What is his FA status and what would he cost as a B+ (?) option? Restricted? Have to steal him a year or so early? We've got that all or nothing move down.
What’s the point of him asking that? Did he think Kidd could possibly say “well yea, I still have my moments abusing women, but I’m still working on it”. Kidd ain’t a kid being recruited to college.
