Honestly don't wtf Vogel was doing in this one: went from switch everything to drop coverage??

This was pretty bad: BI ended up being covered on defense by WEstbrook/Monk/etc way too much and not enough Stan/Wenyan/THT on him

Turn the page? Hmmmm. Only way you turn the page is when game 82 is over and the Lakers are done. That's when you can turn the page. As of right now, we have to keep reading this terrible book until our eyes can close.

    it's working already!

edit: serious question because i thankfully didn't see the game--what's the thing/lineup that everyone wants from vogel. i read somewhere that we changed up pick and roll coverage from switching everything to drop coverage, but...how did we have any success switching when lebron/melo/dwight are our options at the 5? seems like a matter of time before pretty much any team eats that up. almost sounds to me like we got the drop on them and then didn't have the personnel to make any counters. it's the reverse lue, if you will.

right. the media and opposing fans are going to ignore these facts, but we've had some absolutely rotten luck this year with injuries, and that's doomed us more than anything. then the russ trade/dumb offseason moves. much much much further down the list is that we have a good but not great coach.

If Villanova ends up winning its 3rd title under Jay Wright, I'm going to Township and sitting down with Jay and really try and see what's there. I think he is exactly what the Lakers need. The only issue is LeBron James is on the team and LeBron only listens to LeBron.

Based on how things went this season for Jeanie and Rob after listening to LeGM, I hope they stop listening to him all together regarding personnel decisions.

The only involvement I want from Bron this summer:
    1) call Wade and James Jones, see if the Jazz or Suns are willing to help him out. They don't want Russ, but as a 3rd team chipping in with an asset... maybe.
    2) call Love. See if he wants to leave a better team next Feb, give up some money on a buyout and come to LA... it's a lot nicer than Cleveland Ohio.
    3) call TT. I don't like Tristan and he's not great in the locker room, but we're desperate for talent for the minimum this summer.

Other than that, stay out of it. Sit on the beach and drink Lobos.

TNT broadcast said Lakers have allowed over 100 points in 24 straight games. Yikes

Was absolutely pointless to keep Frank, should have been fired months ago. If they wanted a look at Handy as interim, that’s gone now. Now like that tweet I posted the other day said Vogel will be used as the scapegoat for this s*** roster soon.

This was a terrible coaching job today. Just no way around it

    All those minutes with Bradley.
Lineups of Monk (terrible on defense today), Westbrook, Bradley. Alternating with Westbrook, DJ, Monk.
Just no way you can win with these kind of lineups.

Think of it this way: if the opposing teams played this kind of craps, Lakers would be thrilled.

Jamal Crawford said the Lakers and this team has no identity and they don't know who they are. That's a big coaching issue

Vogel has been pretty bad and I want him gone… but man I’m worried about some of these murmurs about possible tension between Doc and Harden. He pretty much threw Harden under the bus after a recent loss. If Harden gives Morey an ultimatum that he has to get rid of Doc in order for Harden to sign long term, I think Morey would do that in a heartbeat.

And the idea of the Lakers having a coaching vacancy and Doc Rivers being a free agent worry me. I could totally see the front office going for him just because he’d likely be the most high profile coaching name on the market.

And that would be terrible. I’d rather just keep Vogel for another year.

I would think the Lakers aren’t dumb enough to hire a former C bag AND Clippers coach, but then, who can say these days. Vogel needs to go though, he’s terrible, we might have won that with Reaves instead of Bradley.

Pretty unbelievable that Reaves and THT didn’t play last night. Frank just hasn’t done much to help himself keep the job.

I honestly don’t know what Frank was thinking last night. THT guarded BI better than anyone else did in stretches the last time we played them.
