Just because you don't see it doesn't mean Vogel hasn't tried to implement them. For instance, Westbrook's complete lack of defensive awareness or effort does not mean Vogel is a bad defensive coach. He proved he could coach D in our Ring run a couple of years ago.
i guess; but the complaints about vogel are scheme and playing favorites and stuff. we sure the next one will be better?
Seriously..they didn't even let the guy pick his staff. I don't see a total tear down and restock being done, built around Frank Vogel's scheme this offseason.
he's not. and for him, i'm guessing his termination will be celebrated. he'll take a low pressure assistant job, count his laker money, and be a head coach again in two years somewhere where he's not under a microscope all day. but i'm worried about us, not vogel. i don't see how we're going to improve on him in the short term. and i don't think our personalities are manageable.
we have an awful record. again, vogel was the best we've done by far, and we bungled at least one obviously superior candidate (monty not lue williams) in the process of getting him. is a top-notch assistant going to do better? is kenny atkinson going to get lebron's respect any more than vogel did? do we just want dudley or handy to babysit while lebron coaches in addition to general managing?
Well to be fair, I don’t think this means we picked Russ over the coaching staff. It’s just that nobody wanted Russ so there were no viable trades. I wouldn’t mind going in a new direction with our coach, but that has nothing to do with Russ still being on the roster.
