I liked Vogel but I think he lost the players’ ears last year. Way too many blowouts and he just couldn’t figure out what to do. Maybe no one could. I don’t blame him but the FO had already refused to give him much of an extension. They weren’t committed to him and so neither was the team. He was a scapegoat for sure though and thus got fired.

I think Ham is a good guy. He could turn out to be the right hire. Only time will tell. I do hate his three and four PG lineups though. I also hate his stubbornness in keeping Schroder in the starting lineup. Got to move him to the bench where he belongs and insert a shooter in there at SG. Let Dlo run the show. Schroder has shown he can excel off the bench.

Guess it's possible there were other teams interested for sure in Schroder for vet min as great as he was playing in Europe, and Rob and/or Darvin had to promise him he would start to get him to sign here.

Possibly. But even if they promised him a starting job, who cares at this point? Dennis has been good for us overall but he's not so indispensable to our future plans that pissing him off would be catastrophic. He's probably shown enough this year to get better than the minimum in free agency, so I'm fine with him sulking a bit off the bench and then leaving in the summer.

If so it was a mistake last time around as well as this time. Nothing should be guaranteed if you want to win. Play whatever role you are given. Even Russ came off the bench this year and he’s a Hall of Famer. I like Schroder but he’s done nothing of significance in the NBA other than runner up 6MOTY, which is the role he’s still best suited for. I don’t see him as a starter anywhere else either.

Did Ham overplay Lebron? Entirely possible but as to your point Lebron can say no. He ultimately has that power. We needed Lebron to play a lot of minutes to get wins. We were awful without him before the trade deadline help. Maybe the front office should take a look at the friggin mirror about not putting together a better roster this season. Sick of them blaming others. That is on THEM!

not defending Ham but he too got crappy roster unti the recent trades...ill agree if this same team next yr still blows then we can all agree Ham sucks. Whether Vogel deserves to get fired is subjective, saw plenty of complaints about his lineup, the bubble/chip yr might misconstrue his ability as a coach, I dont think he is and if he gets another gig, I see him him with same success or lack thereof like Walton with sac

It's a roll of the dice with the health thing though Jones. It's a tough league, you are not going to have much success, without your best players being available.

Now..the FO made moves that they thought, would better the team at the time.
I won't blame Rob for Lebron and AD'S injury situations.

Whether you like his previous moves or not, you have to admit that those moves, have led us to a better position for the future today. We have Russell, Beasley ,Vanderbilt, Rui,Reaves, Walker, Brown, Momba, Christie and Wenyen on our roster. That's a nice collection of young talent. We have the ability to be over the cap this summer and keep whoever we want, and add a MLE. We have a 1st rd pick and a 2nd in the upcoming draft. The future is far from bleak.

We were able to be in this position because we had Nunn, Bev and Russ to trade. We were over the cap with a roster that the FO(Lebron) didn't like two seasons ago. Our options weren't all that great that summer, and that part keeps getting overlooked. We made moves and then made adjustments, that's what the FO is supposed to do.

Our two cornerstones have played 28, 21 and 25 games together in these last 3 campaigns. Folks get tired of hearing that, but it is what it is. That killed whatever plans we had hope for in the previous 2, and I'm not sure that Lebron will make it through this one.

That being said, I'm more upbeat than ever about the future moving forward. We will have the best collection of talent to surround Lebron and AD, than we've ever had. I hope to have better luck with our stars and injuries, but we will most definitely be in a better position to absorb their absence. Losing sucks today but the winning will be just that much sweeter tomorrow. Look at Golden State..from the lottery to a chip.
Hell Jones... look at us!! From out of the playoffs to a chip in the next season. I think we are in great shape moving forward. If James makes it back able to play, we might make some noise before this season is done.

He over achieved 2 or 3 years in Indiana against the Heatles, and won a ring with the Lakers under difficult circumstances but he’s not a good coach Kh?

No doubt Slick. I love what Rob did at the deadline and am excited for our future! And I’m not blaming Rob for this summer’s lack of moves because he was trying to do things. I just don’t like the FO blaming Ham, their own hire, for “playing Lebron too much” and supposedly causing him injury. If Lebron can’t go, he won’t. That’s been shown. And they are responsible for us having to play him so much because they didn’t ok any deals for us to surround him with more talent in the summer ala Hield and Turner or Bogdanovic/Conley. That’s on them. We were left with an ill fitting roster all the way until the deadline.

Well I’ll be damned!! OK there is some sense in his head over continuing the BFF priority starting spot for Dennis. This should help a lot.

Wonder if he came to the move on his own or did hear something from higher up? Maybe will be some leak on that at some point.

    DS to the bench!

Beasley in there for spacing. Vando to guard BI. I like it. I'd prefer Rui to be the starter in that spot overall so the bench has a can of NOS strapped to it, but I'll take it.

This is more like a situational starting line up with regard to Rui and Vando since BI just razed Pat Bev and Troy, among others, last game.
