OMG you made me flash to a 4 guard lineup since Mays is still here
DLo, Reaves, Dinwiddie, Mays, with Lebron at the 5. 5 out baby

For f**** sake man, he hasn’t played a game yet and Ham is already threatening to f*** this up. Yes I know he’s a bigger guard, but come on, our size and defense 3-5 has been a strength.

    :LLLLLebronlaughing:

He just can't help himself. I can see it now:

    C: Prince
    PF: Mays
    SF: Spencer
    SG: Austin
    PG: DLO

God help us if we ever get Gabe back.

Can’t stand the three guard lineup thing. Why won’t this guy get out of his own way. Ham finally got the rotations right and he’s already talking about screwing with it. Ridiculous.

I told you guys. And you thought I was kidding. Spencer is a backup 1, who could play some 2, together with Dlo, but not in a 3-guard lineup.

Just wait for Dlo/AR/Spencer/Prince or Rui/Bron. It will happen.

To play devil's advocate for a minute, I hated the three-guard lineups he used before the trades last year but I remember some of them actually graded out well from a net rating perspective. I think it was the Schroder/Reaves/Beverly ones, I don't remember.

But no, we shouldn't do this unless we're literally forced to due to injuries. If DLo and AR are already out there with LeBron and AD, Spencer's skillset is the last thing we need from that 5th guy.

This is a hard pass for me unless you AD with Cam/Vando in the other two spots but even that is going to be struggle. 3 bad defenders at the guards and SF is not a combination that is going to survive against a good team. You already get plenty of ball handling and scoring with two of them there: need to balance out a lot.

What did we do to deserve a nightmare of a player last season to a nightmare of a coach this one?

We need to either fire Ham or Rob is going to have to give us a roster next season with only two guards. No backups. Kind of like a chess match. Rob, "even you can't screw this up." Ham just laughs, "watch me."

    Ham will definitely close with:
    DLo
    AR
    SD
    Bron
    AD

    Forgone conclusion.

Set aside the fact that a third guard that needs the ball and isn't a great spot-up shooter and can't defend wings is a terrible archetype to put next to DLo/Reaves/LeBron/AD, we need to see what we have with Rui. It's been a weird year for Rui; he hasn't broken out like he hoped but it seems like there was no clear plan for him coming into the season. We need to know if he's someone we want around for the long haul with Reaves and AD, or if he's matching salary in a trade this summer. Only way to figure that out is playing him in high-leverage minutes and letting him play through some mistakes.

I'm of the mind that this team could still rally and win a playoff series or two, but if we're being honest/realistic we're not winning a ring this season. So I want to figure out which guys are worth building around. You can't do that by playing Dinwiddie (who I do think will help us) out of position just because he's a vet.

    I hate this f***ing b**** a** coach man.

Even after we get literally the best buyout option on the market and improve our team's backcourt situation...he finds a way to f*** it up by talking this 3-guard CLOSING lineup nonsense. All he's going to do is put all 3 of our guards in positions to FAIL and then everyone gonna be calling for their heads once again.

We got enough playmaking in the starting lineup - just let Dinwiddie lead the bench unit man why does he have to over-complicate everything?!
