    Three things are certain:

    Death
    Taxes
Ham playing Taurean Prince 30+ minutes a night

He’s awful, just awful. Russ, Reaves, Vando, LeBron, and AD finally got to play like 2 mins together tonight before halftime and they immediately went on a 10 or 11-0 run. I’m not sure they played together again after that, but Prince sure got his 30 mins. This is not a new thing, this is a pattern with this clown, he did this with Beverley until they traded him and he had to stop, and then he did this with Beasley until he both shot and defended so poorly that the calls for Austin to start became too loud and he relented. He’s an idiot who thinks so basic, seemingly at the same time thinking he’s being clever or playing the best odds. I do not get why we are so bad at hiring a coach other than the people at the top do not know basketball. Dr Buss knew to hire the best, and get out of the way, Jeannie can’t seem to figure it out. I’m so damn glad Doc Rivers went to Milwaukee, because you just KNOW if Ham gets fired that was our next hire.

I've got to say I miss Vogel. He got scapegoated for the Westbrook debacle and he didn't deserve that treatment. He actually had strategies for defense. Ham is just like "play harder, run faster." And then gives excuses that the regular season is "a marathon." Vogel could actually coach. I'm not sure what Ham is doing at all. I don't understand the offense and I don't see any intelligence in the defense. Opposing teams destroy us from three. It is clearly by design to leave them open and dare them to shoot. But it's not working. We're a .500 team and we give up one of the highest (if not highest) opponent three point shooting percentages in the league. It's just a bad idea.

And his love affair with Prince is just ridiculous. Bring down his minutes and start Vando dummy!

I would say this regarding the forward spots :

    1) Vando was unplayable against Denver

    2) He sure was injured/not himself physically for a while this season

    3) Prince sure brings better spacing

    BUT

    4) isn't a consistent scorer or shooter enough to play 30 minutes

    AND

    5) isn't good enough on defense , especially with Dlo and Reaves starting in the backcourt , this trio is bleeding points on the defensive end

6 ) Rui can't guard SFs so it's difficult to play him many minutes next to Bron , overall Rui not being able to take the next step because of inconsistent minutes , injuries ect , is definetely the dissapointment of the season so far .

    7) Overall there has been a lack of clear direction and improvement regarding the SF position , we got worse ..

If those were the only 5 available players due to injury I think Ham would forfeit the game instead of playing them together. He and Prince would go watch waves crashing from some pier instead.

That's our big deadline move: Ham removes both hands from pockets.

NO. Vando was injured and now he’s much more healthy and being a high impact energizing player again. Who DID work his a** off all summer to get better on the offensive end, which is now showing. But gawddamned Ham won’t make the switch now and bring his BFF off the bench because as a starter it will get him a better pay day when he leaves in the off season.

And I am so sick of what that one series with Denver, which was a one off …. they’re not the same team and Joker is Joker ….. has done to cloud everything this season in a negative overreactive way about DLO and Vando. FFS everyone get over it. The way this team is being coached is the problem and we probably have a 1% chance of having to worry about meeting them again this year because of it. Talk about stupidity …. and this attitude that these two guys can’t possibly change and improve on that piece of history now. F*** that and f*** Denver!!

I don’t care. Sick of hearing that s*** too. Why you concentrate on a quality backup PG for the rough spots if we keep him.

lol, he's waiting to start vando until we go on the road trip, where we'll predictably lose, and he'll be like...gotta go back to my man.

…. or waiting for Vando to have 3-4 more games in a row like that on offense before he can begin to think of risking putting “MIP” Prince on the bench.

It was not just the Denver series. We won the Grizzlies and Warriors series in large part because we reduced Vando's minutes and gave more to Rui. Vando had a -25 net rating in the Warriors series. A series that we won pretty convincingly.

I'm tired of having the Vando argument. He's good player that, if used correctly, is a big boost to our team. But I'm tired of hearing the "lineup that got us to the WCF" stuff. It's objectively false. It started out great after the trade deadline, got worse down the stretch of the regular season as teams realized they could just ignore Vando and pack the paint on LeBron and AD, and was a net neutral in the playoffs. We got to the WCF by going away from it. That's the reality of what happened.

We came into this year knowing that the halfcourt offense needed to be way better (20th in offensive rating last year) for us to ever have a chance at contending. That just can't happen with LeBron, AD and Vando playing significant minutes together. Sure, it can look fine against a s*** team like the Bulls. But every good team knows that they can park their 4 or 5 under the basket to help on AD rolling to the basket because Vando is either going to miss a corner three or flash to the already congested paint where AD is already standing. It makes way more sense to bring him off the bench so he's playing most of his minutes with Wood at the 5, where he can be the roll guy, finish at the basket without another big standing there, or even make some plays out of the short roll because he's an underrated passer. It makes way more sense to play him in switchier lineups because he's bad at navigating screens.

Playing DLO and AR together is a good thing overall outweighing their struggles at times on defense. Taureon Prince is NOT the answer to helping cover them on D to be able to do that. And Ham has misused and under used Rui as well, because of Prince, so he's not where he should be EITHER now that he's been healthy for awhile. Or do you think Prince is the answer?

And I'm tired of the assumption everyone is exactly the same as they were last season, especially Vando, after working hard in their / his / and Rui's off seasons. Give them a chance at least!

It's not that complicated. You either start Vando and bring Prince off the bench -- or you decide to bring Austin off the bench and start Prince at the 2, reducing his minutes in the process, and still keeping Vando with the starters at the SF spot. Come on, man. If Prince was a true defensive stopper, or a high-volume 40% 3-pt shooter, I'd understand. But he's not; he's a good bench role-player who can come in, do well enough defensively and hit a couple of threes.

Don't just park Vando in the corner for one thing. As seems to be happening lately, finally, have him and others cut more. DLO and AR can keep defenses honest from deep and LeBron too for that matter. All three of them are excellent passers, with AD finally being give a shot at being better at it because of ding ding ding .... more people cutting. That's on Numbnuts, like so much else.
