He sucks but we've somehow overcome his sucking more often than not.

At the same time...we started 2-10 last year and we were 25-31 at the break and we rallied to the mf'ing WCF.

We're 10-7 right now so I'll take us hovering above .500 for first few months and then turniung it up 2nd half of the year heading into the playoffs.

Then again - WEST is brutal this year...no nights off...we can't really "relax" or throw games away. Losing home games to Mavs and Kings REALLY hurts for playoff positinoing purposes (esp the Kings loss since they're in our division and we're 0-2 against them)

Shiid...Vogel didn't have 5 different end of game plays ready ever. It was here Lebron, make something happen! That's CAP

I’m going to “debate” like you then.
Vogel is a Championship Coach- Hamster is not.

Yep. And his end of the game play was still " OK Lebron..what do you want to run?" Won a chip with that strategy too.

    Umm zone against no Maxey???
Why are we doubling Embiid when AD is on him?

You should be selling out to stop Maxey with all the injuries. You have the bigs to throw at Embiid. Just weird

that second one was clearly by design, as max went back after the re-entry. looks like the idea was that prince (and thus the whole team) was supposed to rotate and leave the skip pass to the corner open. it's not a bad idea, as embiid isn't jokic and isn't going to throw a strike to the opposite corner, but...why bother. embiid's got a low percentage chance there, imo--he can convert, but it's about a 40% proposition in isolation against AD that far from the hoop. at least make him put it on the floor before a double.

it doesn't matter, as we weren't going to win that game under any circumstance, but it's certainly a weird choice.

i wish we had a better strategist on the staff. let ham do ego management and motivation and stuff, but i feel like we're getting routinely out-schemed. everyone said that about vogel, but i didn't see it with him. i see it with ham.

Hey it’s you guys who were happy when they hired Ham while I was against it. I don’t see why you are questioning his schemes now:Laugh: Just go with the flow, we will win the in season tournament :Noddingyes:

i don't recall being that excited about the ham hire. i was interested in the other milwaukee assistant, iirc.

not looking forward to ham getting outschemed by the guy i really wanted to hire in the very first place, monty williams.

Well, I thought Frank got a raw deal but that's water under the bridge at this point.

I was fine with the Ham hire. Overall still am though I feel deja vu all over again with us not beefing up the staff more.

I don't remember being blown away by anyone and definitely wasn't high on the retreads being thrown out there.

The guys I was interested like Monty and Nick Nurse weren't available and Snyder wasn't interested so here we are.

I don't know that any of those guys would have a better record missing the rotation guys that have been out for us though.

I wanted Sam Cassell, but I will admit I was happy with the Ham hiring but that didn't last long. As soon as he showed he was full of crap I got off the bus. That was pretty much right away. The guy isn't a head coach, he has been exposed. Kudos to those that already knew. The guys don't even consistently play hard for him anymore. He would be a nice assistant giving high fives and fist bumps but beyond that, not a lot to offer unfortunately. We will get some good games, maybe a few good runs but it is up to Lebron to make changes. He is the only one with the power to do it. Our defensive effort is bad. We have good defenders out but that shouldn't change the effort. Might should be even more effort not less. Lebron has to be the player coach going forward because I don't believe they will fire Ham this season. He did that for a short stretch earlier and last year to some degree in the playoffs. I know some will say Frank sucked too. He didn't, but even if he did that is pretty twisted logic to keep another coach that sucks. The positive side is our roster is good enough to win this year even with Ham bumbling along, but it will make it harder and more frustrating.

Hopefully that's not the extent of his change.
