Overall a pretty good game by Ham. Game one is huge so you do what you have to. AD will get a little more rest going forward but we needed this one. No lead is safe with these darn Warriors. Great start.

It’s because Rui can’t match up with Curry, Thompson or Poole. So who are we gonna have Rui defending? Lebron and AD were on Green and Looney and then we had DLO on Wiggins for a bit and Lebron.

If DLO’s offence isn’t going you’re going to get more Rui. But we can’t put Rui in if they’re running a Curry, Poole, Thompson, Wiggins and Green lineup.

Yeah. We didn’t want to lose this one. A team like the Warriors could carry over the momentum to the next game and we could easily have ended up down 0-2 heading back to LA.

Good game plan from Ham. Understand him pushing AD and Lebron to big mins, he wanted to guarantee us stealing the game and home court advantage.

I do hope he finds a way to balance the offense of DAR and defense of Vando down the stretch. We needed a basket yes but then Curry also went off.

He addresed that in the post presser and denied that’s what he do - distracting players while shooting. Said, I’m paraphrasing, he could have been instructing players at that exact time.

One of the keys of the series , Warriors always want you to adapt to their style and match their small ball lineup.

I think we should stay big and figure out what Rui can do on Klay defensively for 2-3 possessions and post him up on offense to force GS to adapt to us .

In this case Kerr might put Kuminga in ( or Looney back in) and they're playing with 2 non shooters on O again.

I love this. Why do they win a lot? Is because teams try to play to their style. Make them make the adjustments. They are not the prime Warriors, time to make them feel uncomfortable.

I'm just not a big fan of this approach. Rui can defend Klay fine in the post or 1 on 1. The problem is when he has to get through 2-3 screens, if we thought Troy Brown was getting abused by the screens, Rui is gonna have an even worse time of it. Now, on the other end, I think Rui probably abuses anyone not named Wiggins or Green in the midrange.

I was speaking about Rui posting Klay up , Klay isn't going to post Rui up ( my bad If I wrote it wrong).

You're probably right about the screens chasing but let's try .

I just believe we're not going to win the series if we play 3 guards together every GS "wants" us to

The issue is, Klay can get hot and with enough separation he could drop 20 on you in a quarter pretty comfortably. I just don’t want to take the chance of trading 2’s for 3’s with Klay and Curry.

Rui should get more minutes from AD and Lebron playing less and DLO if he isn’t hitting.

I’m not suggesting we play only guards, I’m suggesting we put our best chase defenders on the floor playing a lot of minutes - Vando, Schroeder, Reaves and then Troy are probably our best chase defenders.

Troy did a horrible job chasing. Hopefully he is better in game 2.

Yeah the hedging did get destroyed. I think we have the personnel to switch pick and rolls pretty successfully.

Let AD play high drop and it will be fine (Steph is going to get his but it won't destroy the rotation and get every GS player practice shots) - if Steph is going to be the PG wear him down.

Lakers used the hedging coverage in a game they were going to lose regardless , it's smart .

We tried , we saw it didn't work , we move on

Terrible game plan...allowing Green to rest on D, by guarding AD in the high post, is borderline criminal. F that noise, we need more low block action if Draymond is on AD. He can't guard him deep in the paint, all he's going to do is foul him.
