Instead of the no center 3 forward line up, we'll run a no center 3 guard line up

Maybe he will figure out that's it's job to put the Lakers in the best position to win

To be fair, and I'm not a Ham apologist in any way, the Lakers were up 3 games to 1 in the series. The bench and substitutions were an issue but not enough of one to hamper that lead.

That said, I hate the fact that 1. he hasn't played TT or Bamba for that matter when Tillman and JJJ were roasting us at different points and 2. he hasn't tried Lonnie off the bench when Beasley and Brown have given us so little. You've got a bench for a reason. If guys aren't cutting it (and they aren't) or we don't have any rim protection when AD goes out then use some of these guys who are seemingly capable players!

I think Ham has significantly improved as the season went on.
Moving Reaves into the starting lineup
Getting the most out of Rui and Schroeder
The 3 guard lineups with Reaves/DS/Dlo actually works vs Brick/Bevs/DS
Kept the team focused despite all the injuries and turnovers
    Defense is excellent.

A lot of things he's struggling with now are just roster issues: no reliable/proven backup big, no real 3 and D wing on the roster.
Let's be honest there are only 7 guys on this team that fans on this site would all say the would trust getting 20 or minutes in a playoff game
The starters plus Rui and DS.

    My biggest issues for him
    1) TO's are an absolute disaster still
    2) He's got the right players in his rotation but he needs to show more flexibility on when people come in and out (i.e. just stagger AD to match JJJ more)
    3) Yes it's the playoffs but sometime you need to bring in a guy like Gabriel, Lonnie or Christie to make up for the hole elsewhere on the roster and mess with the other team's game plan
    4) increasing minutes does not mean a guy plays for a whole quarter

I agree that Ham has improved significantly and I even believe he will be a good coach. However, I also believe that pulling AD when he did was a disaster that needn't have happened. We were on the verge of breaking their back and just let them up. I am still firm in the camp we will win the championship but Ham will make it much more exciting than it needs to be...lol.

Completely agree on game 5: you just knew it was going to happen - JJJ ready to go and AD goes off. Even if you don't want to play Gabriel just adjust AD's minutes to match JJJs at least somewhat

The lack of a TO before the first half in game 4 and letting Reaves rot on the bench to end the first half in game 3 were head scratching and very costly as well.

That being said this roster is flawed and he definitely deserves credit for the things he got right. Plus Memphis is a good team!

Spot on, especially the 7 deep issue we have. Our previous championship teams were much deeper.

Lonnie scored over 14 a game when he was getting playing time. TT and/or Bamba can't be worse at C than Bron/Rui. All i ask from Ham is to pull his head out of hiss a** and look at some stats/numbers. There must be someone in our coaching staff responsible for that but Ham blatantly ignores it.

Agreed. Memphis is a good team that is actually built for the playoffs. Good defense, intense, physical. We get past them we will have been thoroughly tested.

Took him till game 6, but bravo for getting this one nearly perfect. Tight 8 man rotation before this thing ran away from the teddy bears. Pulled the weak links on the wing.

Got the guys ready to embarrass the Grizz today.

    Good job Darv.

Yeah I have no complaints tonight, he gets credit for adjusting. No Beasley and Brown and using Wenyen instead of leBron at the 5 with Rui and 3 guards was huge. That was really well coached game, and I hope like hell he keeps improving because this team is special.

Superior defensive effort on display. Ham did a great job, what else can you say? 40 point win by a 7th seed. Headed to the 2nd round.

He’s learning! It took him six games
to figure out which guys not to play, but he gets his flowers tonight.
