Upsetting. Especially coming from Phil. Now you're upset about lack of wins? What'd you expect with a s*** roster and a coach with ZERO experience - even as an assistant. Man Phil is one of my favorites but he's a d***. I think we're still a more attractive destination than New York for Walton. We're younger and have more building blocks. New York's in a weird situation with an aging but effective star and a young up and coming star. It's going to take them longer to get back to contender-ship than us, IMO. Unless they really make some big FA signings. Also this coaching conundrum in the NBA is getting out of hand. This trend of coaching fires is saying is that a majority of NBA coaches are unfit for their jobs. Ouch. Is it really the coaches?
in this case it was the coach more than anything. throwing a rookie head coach into the biggest media market in the league where they'll turn on you after a single loss is never a good situation. he did the best he could with what he was given but it was pretty clear he had lost the room as of late in most other cases like blatt, its not the coach at all but rather, this new generation of prima dona players who want everything their way. it's really shocking that an old school, abrasive guy like scott skiles still has a job in today's NBA. but he was run out of chicago and milwaukee for that same reason i mentioned. same situation with jerry sloan
Again: not what he said. It's what someone said about the way he feels about it. That's like if someone said to me: "Are you excited to sit court side at the game tonight?" and I said "Yes! I'm ecstatic!" Then someone asks the person who asks me and they say "Oh yeah therealdeal is OVER THE MOON about sitting court side!" Then ESPN reports: "therealdeal on sitting court side: I'm OVER THE MOON!" Not what I said. Bad journalism at its worst.
I wasn't blaming you or anyone else at all, just the person who wrote that tweet. They're WRONG and they should be held accountable for their misreporting, but in today's media that never happens.
